How to Befriend Zhao Dali in Where Winds Meet

The clue the game offers you to help you raise affection with Zhao Dali is:

• Zhao Dali has grown older yet remains without a wife, and his heart is heavy. Offer him comfort and help him lift his spirits.

The “offer him comfort” can come in two forms. Either you offer Zhao Dali your sympathies and commiserate with his bachelorhood, or you give him a ray of hope by offering him a chance of finding a lover.

In our playthrough, we used the following lines to befriend Zhao Dali:

1. The banquet is around the corner, no? Maybe you’ll meet someone special!
2. Train diligently and show off your skills at the event. Who knows, you might get lucky!
3. Chin up! It’s not every day you get to meet so many new faces. Your future wife could very well be among them.
4. You’re one of the most eligible bachelors in the area. Unwed eyes will be upon you at the banquet!
5. I hear Fairy Huang might be coming too. You’ve heard of her, no? Gorgeous, wealthy, and most importantly, unwed. She’s looking for a new partner. That could be you if you play your cards right.
6. Prepare well and wow at the event.

AI chatbots in Where Winds Meet can be finicky. A method that worked for one player may not work for someone else, which means there is a chance, albeit small, that the conversation detailed above may not work as intended. While Zhao Dali isn’t prone to becoming hostile at the drop of a hat like Fu Lushou, he may still refuse to give you the Revered status when he acts up.

If this happens, you can reset Zhao Dali’s chat history by clicking on the recycle icon in the top-right of the chat pop-up (shown above) and try again. If it still doesn’t work, it might be worth trying another method.

Alternative Methods to Befriend Zhao Dali

The following are some methods users have reported have worked for them to raise affection with Zhao Dali:

• Tell him you will arrange a party with some single girls to help him get a girlfriend (source: mark)
