How to Gather the Best Intel for Cayo Perico in GTA Online

When gathering intel, you’re going to want to ensure you have the following:

• Scope Secondary Loot at the Airfield
• Scope Primary Loot in Rubio’s Compound
• Locate the Drainage Tunnel
• Locate the Main Dock

When you arrive at Cayo Perico, you’re going to land at the Airstrip. To start, head inside the hangar and use Snapmatic to take photos of the loot found on the lower floor, and then take photos of the loot behind the gate on the upper floor. Now, scope out the loot found in the nearby shed. With the secondary loot scoped, it’s time to leave the airfield and take the motorcycle at the entrance, where you can head towards the communications tower.

You’re going to want to avoid guard patrols and cameras, as getting caught sends you back to the airfield. We recommend taking the motorcycle and sticking to the left of the island near the cliffs to avoid detection and to make the journey to the communications tower faster. Once you’ve arrived, hack the signal box and then use the Sightseer app to check the basement for your primary target.

After gathering intel on the primary and secondary loot available on the Cayo Perico island, you’ll only have to complete 5 prep missions to make the finale as easy and fast as can be. We do recommend purchasing the Sparrow Moon Vehicle for the Kosatka, as it will make these prep missions even faster. Here are the only prep missions for Cayo Perico you’ll need to complete:

• Approach Vehicle: Boat: Longfin
• Equipment: Plasma Cutter/Safe Code, Fingerprint Cloner, Cutting Torch
• Weapon Loadout: Aggressor (Purchase Suppressors for $5,000 once, and never again)

Best Primary and Secondary Loot in Cayo Perico (& Their Weight/Profit Values)

Before you jump into Cayo Percio, we thought it would be useful to showcase how loot works. As a solo player, your secondary loot (Cash, Weed, Cocaine, Gold, Paintings) will take up space in your bag, whereas your primary loot does not. You should only loot in the Airstrip, regardless of what’s inside. Here are the values of profit and weight so you know what to prioritize:

Best Solo Route for Cayo Perico & Complete the Elite Challenge in GTA Online

To start, you’ll want to take an immediate left in your Longfin and arrive at the Airstrip. Make sure to position the Longfin close to shore so it doesn’t get swept away by the ocean waves, and then make your way to land by watching the minimap for the cones of vision of the guards.

You’re going to want to head into the hangar on the north side of the Airstrip, but try to avoid the guard who patrols the entrance, as killing him when he’s not near the car will cause his body to get spotted. Inside the hangar, you can loot up and take the forklift to connect to a wooden pallet to access the upstairs loot. If your bag isn’t full, head to the shed for further loot, but destroy the camera and watch for the patrolling guard.

How to Easily Break Into El Rubio’s Compound

When you’re done at the Airstrip, return to the Longfin and follow the edge of the island from the right until you end up at the back of El Rubio’s compound, noted by the villas on the cliff. Once you’ve arrived, dive into the water and equip a Rebreather, then approach the drainage tunnel to open the grate with the cutting tool by moving it across the highlighted green bars, and then swim inside.

Now that you’re inside El Rubio’s compound, immediately turn around, take a right, and head up the stairs. You’ll want to aim at the stair banister close to the cliff, and jump onto it. From here, walk forward and jump onto the roof. Once you’re on the roof, run across and look down to a platform that lets you cut across to the central building.

At the central building, take a right and wait behind the wall until the guard walks away. Follow the guard, and take the first available left, and remain in sneaking mode, as you’re going to want to sneak past the second guard on this route, and continue left up the stairs. Wait at these stairs for a guard to walk to the balcony, then kill him with a melee takedown, and continue up the stairs to access El Rubio’s office.

How to Easily Use the Fingerprint Hack and the Plasma Cutter

The Fingerprint Scanner is a lot easier than it looks, as you need to sync the images on the left to the ones on the right. To do this easily, shift all 8 sections to the top of the fingerprint. Once they’re all the tip of the fingerprint, you can hit right on each component in the following order:

• Component #1: 0 times to the right
• Component #2: 1 times to the right
• Component #3: 2 times to the right
• Component #4: 3 times to the right
• Component #5: 4 times to the right
• Component #6: 5 times to the right
• Component #7: 6 times to the right
• Component #8: 7 times to the right

Once you’re inside the vault, you can use the Plasma Cutter on the glass to grab the primary target. The easiest way to do this is to hold the Plasma Cutter button until the meter turns red, and then let it reduce, and hold it again. After doing this 4 times, the loot will be obtainable.

How to Easily Escape El Rubio’s Compound & Cayo Perico

Now that you have acquired the primary target, it’s time to leave El Rubio’s compound. Head up the same elevator that you entered the basement vault in, and head down the stairs. You’re going to want to pass the guard you left alone by taking a right, and then wait for the patrolling guard to pass before you jump down the railing, and take the stairs to the left. Once up these stairs, continue forward and approach the front entrance to escape undetected.

Once you’re outside of El Rubio’s compound, kill the guard next to the motorcycle and take this vehicle to escape. You’re going to want to drive forward towards the cliff, and then leap off from the motorcycle into the water. Equip a Rebreather, and swim forward through the sea mines and the coral trenches, where, after 30+ seconds of swimming, you’ll have left the island and triggered the ending cutscene.
