Progressing far through the Ashes of the Damned easter egg in Black Ops 7 Zombies will eventually have you facing a puzzling encounter at Reba’s Diner involving lost souls, 3 unique zombies, and lightning. Luckily for you, we’ve got a guide that will ensure that you get through this step within the allocated time so that you can get one step closer to completing the main EE on Standard, Directed, or Cursed.

Below, we’ll provide a step-by-step process on how to complete the lightning encounters at Reba’s Diner in Ashes of the Damned so that you can bring all the correct zombies into their lightning spots within the time provided, and ensure you have a way of forcing the lightning to spawn on rounds where it’s absent.

Here’s a full step-by-step walkthrough of the main easter egg for Ashes of the Damned in Black Ops 7 Zombies so you can easily complete the quest!

How to Activate the Lightning at Reba’s Diner in Ashes of the Damned

To begin, you must first have the DG-2 Turret on Ol’ Tessie with the clock tower in Ashwood. Now, every 2 rounds, lightning will strike Exit 115. However, you do not have to wait for the lightning to complete this step. Instead, drive Ol’ Tessie to Exit 115 and use the DG-2 Turret to shoot a lamp post that has no light, but is sparking. If you shoot the correct lamp post, another will begin sparking, and you can shoot that one, and then repeat for a third and final time. This will force the lightning to strike Exit 115, and can be done every round.

Now that you have the lightning at Reba’s Diner, you will want to start the Ritual of Massacre, which is achieved by shooting the DG-2 Turret at the clock tower in Ashwood, and then by shooting one of the charged clock faces with the Necrofluid Gauntlet and reloading to become purple and imbued with Time Essence. Once you’re glowing purple, you can drive to Exit 115 and shoot the clock found on the south rooftop of McDougal’s Service Station.

You should hold off on shooting the clock for now, as this begins a timed step where you have 60 seconds to complete the ritual. Below, we’ll list what you need to do so you can shoot the clock and achieve your objective within 60 seconds.

How to Bring All 3 Zombies Into the Correct Lightning in Ashes of the Damned

For the lightning step at Reba’s Diner, you will need to complete unique tasks that bring souls into three specific zombies around Exit 115, and then you will need to lead these zombies to their correct lightning spots. You will only have around 60 seconds for this step, but the good news is that if you’ve successfully led a zombie to the correct lightning, then you will not need to redo that specific zombie the next time you activate the clock.

Zombie #1 – The Mechanic

The first zombie you should locate is the Mechanic, who can be found slumped by the car inside McDougal’s Service Station. To wake up the Mechanic, you must command Klaus to stomp near the car’s boot in McDougal’s Service Station. You can summon Klaus by spending 2,000 Essence at the Klaus Station within McDougal’s Service Station. With the Mechanic now awake, climb to the Service Station Rooftop and lead him into the orange lightning.

Zombie #2 – The Trucker

The next zombie requires you to drive Ol’ Tessie into the back of the red truck’s cargo just outside Reba’s Diner. Doing so will see the back doors of the red truck open, and the sleeping zombie outside will awaken. You can now take the Trucker to the rooftop with the clock that has the pink lightning.

Zombie #3 – The Waitress

The final zombie requires you to have Melee Macchiato. With Melee Macchiato, enter Reba’s Diner and melee punch the cash register opposite the soda machine. This will open the cash register and wake up the Waitress. You will now need to climb the Diner Rooftop and lead the Waitress to the purple lightning. You can easily climb Reba’s Diner by climbing Ol’ Tessie, which should be left parked by the red truck, or by climbing the hood of the truck itself.

Once all three zombies have been placed in their respective lightning, wisps will appear in the lightning spots, and a voiceline from the Entity will confirm this step has been completed. Again, this step does not need to be done in the same round, as once you’ve taken a zombie into the lightning, they will remain there.
