- Little Master’s Legacy
- Recipe’s Heir

Little Master’s Legacy in Where Winds Meet
How to Start Little Master’s Legacy 1-4
To trigger the Little Master’s Legacy quest in Where Winds Meet, players will need to clear out enemy camps in the Battlecrest Slope region in Qinghe. These are groups of three or four enemies standing around a lit campfire, guarding a chest.
Each time you clear a camp, there is a chance that an encounter pop-up will appear on-screen, triggering the Little Master’s Legacy quest. When this happens, an NPC named Xiao Ping’an will spawn near the camp that was just cleared and will ask you to perform a weapon move in front of him.
Little Master’s Legacy 1-4 Walkthrough
- Little Master’s Legacy 1: Xiao Ping’an asks you to perform Noname Sword’s Daunting Strike move.
- Little Master’s Legacy 2: Xiao Ping’an asks you to perform the Strategic Sword’s Inner Track Slash move (requires unlocking the Strategic Sword).
- Little Master’s Legacy 3: Xiao Ping’an asks you to perform Stormbreaker Spear’s Storm Roar move.
- Little Master’s Legacy 4: A Villager will appear to say that Xiao Ping’an does not consider you his disciple anymore, but sends a Peace Spear weapon as an apology.
This will mark the Little Master’s Legacy quest chain complete.
You can visit Xiao Ping’an in a cave near the Verdant Wilds river (location shown above) to learn more about his backstory, but it is not required to complete the quest.
When Do Enemy Camps Respawn?
The Little Master’s Legacy Encounters are randomized, and it is entirely possible to clear all camps in the Battlecrest Slope region and still have Little Master’s Legacy 4 Encounter not trigger. If this happens, the only thing you can do is to wait for the Daily Reset at 4:00 PM EST to reset the world state and get the enemy camps to respawn.
Passing time using the in-game timer does not reset enemy camps, and you will need to wait in real time for the Daily or Weekly Reset for these camps to be repopulated with enemies.

Once you have all 10 food items in your inventory, open your bag and consume all of them one by one. If all conditions are met, you will see the Encounter pop-up appear on-screen alongside the quest marker for the Recipe’s Heir quest that you can track from your Journal.
Recipe’s Heir Encounter Not Working
In certain cases, it is possible that even after you eat all 10 Qinghe specialty dishes obtained from food vendor stalls, the Recipe’s Heir quest still doesn’t trigger. This occurred in our game as well, and here are the steps we took to fix this problem and get the Recipe’s Heir Encounter pop-up to appear:
- Open Journal (J), go to the Encounters Tab, and either Give Up (T) all active Encounters or complete them to clear the log.
- Increase Affection with two food stall owners to 100.
- Buy all 10 Qinghe food items again and eat them once more.
- Stand in front of Yuan Xianxian’s food stall in Heaven’s Pier and buy and eat three more dishes from her.
Some users have also reported that waiting 20 minutes (real time) to get the food buff timer to run out can trigger the quest (unconfirmed). Others also state that increasing Elegance to above 120 is required to have the quest appear, but this is false, as we managed to get the Recipe’s Heir quest while at 42 Elegance.
