How to Get Missile Launcher Back in Metroid Prime 4
Like every other Metroid game before it, Samus will lose the majority of her special powers and upgrades right when you finish the opening section of Metroid Prime 4. Once you reach Fury Green, the first major area of the game, you’ll start to see some sections blocked by Viewros Amber.
To break the Viewros Amber (and a bunch of other things in Metroid Prime 4), you’ll need a weapon that can unleash ‘explosive force,’ and that’s where Samus’ Missile Launcher comes into play. You had access to it at the start, but you’ll need to find it again to break these walls down.
Here’s a guide on how to get your Missile Launcher back in Metroid Prime 4 to break Viewros Amber and find some secret upgrades.

How to Get Your Missile Launcher Back to Use ‘Explosive Force’ in Metroid Prime 4
Metroid Prime 4 players can get their Missile Launcher back by finding and helping Myles, a member of the Galactic Federation. Once players progress a bit through Fury Green (specifically when you get to the Grove of the Sacred Tree), a pop-up will appear, telling them a distress beacon has been detected.
If you open your map, an objective marker will appear in the Sinkhole area, and that’s where you’ll find the somewhat helpful NPC. It’s worth noting that this is unmissable, but we’ll show you the way there just in case you’re lost.
From the Grove of the Sacred Tree, head to the southwest corner to find a hole that’s perfectly snug for your Morph Ball. From here, keep rolling along the linear path until you eventually find Myles trapped on top of a ship. Once you start to shoot the plants that are keeping the ship in the air, a bunch of enemies will surround Samus. Defeat them and then continue saving Myles until he’s down on the ground.
Once he’s saved, the back of the ship will be open, and you can go ahead and grab the Missile Launcher power-up near some boxes. You can press R to launch an explosive missile with target-tracking capabilities. Just keep in mind that the Missiles run off ammo, so you can’t use them willy-nilly.
Now you’ll be able to break the Viewros Amber and continue progressing Samus’ story.
