Hunter Bot
An Explosive Drone That Hunts Down Elites
- Level Required: Level
- Salvage Required: 250 Salvage
The Hunter Bot is a drone that players can throw up into the air to see it hover forward and hone in on Special, Elite, and HVT Enemies. The Hunter Bot deals below-average damage and is easily replaced by a bullet or any other equipment for Tacticals and Lethals. It’s always nice to have more firepower, but the Hunter Bot can best be forgotten as a dud since it’s not that strong, and you won’t want to waste time throwing it if it’s not exactly going to be the most effective counter to zombies and the Elite Enemies that spawn, as what zombified bear would care about such a small drone?
Cymbal Monkey
Attracts All Zombies and Leaves Them With a Deadly Explosion
- Level Required: Level
- Salvage Required: 1,000 Salvage
The Cymbal Monkey is an absolute classic that sees all zombies distracted by its charm. It’s been around since the inception of Zombies, and it’s here to stay. However, the Cymbal Monkey gets some flak for being very expensive, costing 1,000 Salvage per use. The Cymbal Monkey is also a tad slower than other Tactical Equipment, but it makes up for it with a fairly lengthy distraction time and explosion size. This can be used to draw enemies away from you, as all will be lured to the Cymbal Monkey, where they will then explode, killing most to ensure you don’t have to waste bullets. It’s great for giving yourself breathing room or enough time to pick up a downed friend, but it’s very expensive, and the explosion might make a mess of crawlers that you’ll have to deal with.
Decoy
A Cheap Distraction to Lure the Undead Away
- Level Required: Level 50
- Salvage Required: 500 Salvage
The Decoy Grenade is used to distract zombies, as once thrown, all nearby zombies will rush towards it and stand still, much like the distraction caused by a Monkey Bomb. However, the Decoy grenade does not explode. The reason we’ve ranked it quite high is because of the 500 Salvage cost, meaning that you can get quite a good few uses out of the Decoy. The distraction time is fairly limited, but there’s no wind-up like the Monkey Bomb, nor is it as expensive to use. Simply throw one, see the zombies run towards it, and regroup your efforts to kill them all before they realise that this is just a dud.
Psych Grenade
Force Zombies to Hallucinate to Turn Them Into Allies
- Level Required: Level
- Salvage Required: 800 Salvage
The Psych Grenade is a new addition, and it’s a doozy (even if it makes you woozy). The Psych Grenade will explode on impact, so be ready to throw it either directly at a zombie or on the ground near them. As zombies enter the gas cloud that emerges, they will begin to hallucinate, and some zombies caught in this gas will become temporary allies, like the Brain Rot Ammo Mod. These zombies will begin to attack their own team and ignore you, thus allowing you some breathing room as zombies begin to take themselves out while forgetting that you’re the threat. This is very effective against large groups of undead, especially when you don’t have the ammo or simply want the zombie train to take care of itself while you head off elsewhere.
Stun Grenade
Cause Zombies and Zursas to Pause Momentarily
- Level Required: Level
- Salvage Required: 250 Salvage
The Stun Grenade is the first Tactical Equipment you can get as it’s unlocked by default, and it’s also very effective. The Stun Grenade will detonate a few short seconds after it’s been thrown, and anyone caught in the blast will be stunned. This will cause all zombies to be dazed, where they will temporarily stand still, thus providing you an opportunity to escape or shoot them while they stand defenseless. The Stun Grenade will also stun Zursa, the zombie bear Elite Enemy that can cause quite a bit of grief. By stunning Zursa, you’re opening up an opportunity to stop the Elite Enemy’s advance and shoot it dead before it can even fight back. Stunning hordes so you can pick them off with ease and stunning Zursa to mitigate the threat, makes the Stun Grenade a very effective piece of Tactical Equipment.
LT53 Kazimir
Create a Blackhole to Pull Zombies In and Kill Them
- Level Required: Level 47
- Salvage Required: 1,500 Salvage
The LT53 Kazimir is unparalleled as both a defensive and offensive piece of Tactical Equipment. While you can’t equip it in your Loadout, you can craft it. However, the LT53 Kazimir is best used when you’re in the endgame and have an abundance of Salvage, as this is very costly. Each purchase of the LT53 Kazimir will set you back 1,500 Salvage, but there’s a reason the cost is so high. Throwing the LT53 Kazimir has no charge-up, and it’s just as fast as throwing a Semtex. By throwing the Kazimir grenade, a blackhole will appear, and all zombies nearby will be sucked into it, and they cannot escape it like you can. It’s great for controlling the horde when they begin to overwhelm you, as all of them will be unable to attack you as they are sucked into their deaths, all while you either heal, focus your attention elsewhere, or revive your allies. The only real drawback is how expensive it is, but stacking up on these before a boss fight is essential.
Stim Shot
Immediately Begin a Faster Health Regeneration
- Level Required: Level
- Salvage Required: 250 Salvage
The Stim Shot is a Tactical Equipment that might not slow the zombies, but it will save your life. When used, the Stim Shot will immediately begin to heal you, far quicker than Quick Revive’s health regen can. The Stim Shot is essential for players who are in the endgame, as high-round zombies will hit extremely fast and also move extremely fast, thus leaving you in an unrelenting chase where you’re constantly getting hit, and in the later rounds, it will only take a few hits before you’re down for the count. With the Stim Shot, you have an opportunity to survive, as you can outheal those hits and save yourself for when you’re stuck in a corner, or simply need to push yourself past the death zone, especially with how the Zursa’s tracking attacks will deal damage over time, which can be countered with the Stim Shot. While it won’t halt zombies in their tracks, it’s going to keep you alive by overhealing you when you need it most, and it can stack!
