False Scad is a Level 2 fish and it’s available relatively early in Heartopia. It’s a pretty easy target once you’re comfortable with basic fishing mechanics.
False Scad can be found in the Zephyr Sea, which is one of the ocean regions surrounding the island. This means you’ll need to fish in ocean waters rather than rivers or lakes. This area is accessible once you start exploring coastal regions or use boat access from the Fishing Village. Since it spawns all day and in any weather, you don’t need to wait for a specific time window, making it very convenient to find.
Look for medium-sized fish silhouettes swimming in open ocean water. False Scad tends to spawn slightly farther from the shoreline than river fish, so casting your line a bit deeper increases your chances.
As long as you’re in Zephyr Sea and meet the level requirement, the False Scad can appear.
