Choosing the best skills in ARC Raiders is vital to making sure your raider is constantly improving on the battlefield, either when it comes to PvE, PvP, or general survivability. As you’ve already noticed, players will need to invest a specific number of skill points in a tree to unlock the next tier of skills it has to offer. It’s a big commitment, and this guide will share one of the best skill tree progression paths you could take if you’re just starting out, or maybe after an expedition wipe.
ARC Raiders: Best Skills to Unlock First
Here are some of the best skills in ARC Raiders that players should unlock first. These include some upgrades to character stats and new abilities.
Best Skill Tree Progression Path in ARC Raiders (Non-PvP)
There are three main skill trees in ARC Raiders: Conditioning, Mobility, and Survival. The total skill points you can accumulate in ARC Raiders (excluding the Expedition bonus) is 75, which forces players to invest in limited skills.
Each one has a specific set of skills that will constantly improve your raider for the dangers that lurk in the Rust Belt. Here’s my two-cents on what type of skills populate each skill tree in the game.
- Conditioning: Contains mostly PvP-focused skills that will improve your chances of surviving an encounter with a hostile raider.
- Mobility: Skills that are focused on improving your player’s endurance on the battlefield, aimed at improving traversal capabilities and stamina.
- Survival: Purely looting-based skills that will improve your raider’s ability to sneak into locations, loot and carry the maximum amount of items to bring back to Speranza.
Here’s the best skill tree progression path you can try to cover all bases, if you’re mostly into PvE and aiming at looting the maximum amount of stuff on the battlefield.

Well, this is one of the best skill tree progression paths you can take in ARC Raiders if you want to be stealthy and profitable, while being quick on your feet. If you’re wondering why I decided to go for the Security Breach skill despite its recent nerf, it’s because the security lockers still give you plenty of epic-rarity items during events like Night Raid, or Electromagnetic Storms.
