Black Ops 7 Players Call for Nuketown Bug Fix
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 players have discovered a severe glitch that allows them to go out of bounds on Nuketown 2025 without being eliminated, prompting the community to call on developer Treyarch Studios to release an urgent hotfix update. While Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has been relatively free of exploits and serious glitches since its launch almost three weeks ago, this issue has promptly taken the community by storm, as many state they will no longer be playing the iconic map until a fix is deployed.
Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is now just a matter of days away, but players already had a small content update to check out last month when Treyarch Studios dropped Nuketown 2025, a remaster of the iconic map that Black Ops fans know and love. While the map has returned multiple times over the years in the form of new versions and remasters, this was the first time that the 2025 edition seen in Black Ops 2 has made a comeback. The map features some of the same futuristic elements that players will remember from 2012, along with some minor tweaks to bring it into the timeline of Black Ops 7. The map was released for free and features a special Nuketown 24/7 playlist, allowing players to jump into the map on repeat for non-stop chaos.

Black Ops 7 Players Are Glitching Out of Bounds on Nuketown
While fans have been loving Nuketown’s return in Black Ops 7, it has now caused huge controversy as the community has discovered a severe exploit that allows players to get out of bounds without being eliminated. Usually, once a player leaves the confines of a map, they are greeted with a message prompting them to return or be eliminated. However, as shared by content creator group Nuke Squad, it seems as though using a Stim Shot with the movement speed increase Overclock allows players to leave the map and bypass the warning message entirely. From here, players are free to roam the outskirts of the map, which, for some reason, has an entire city built around it, even though players shouldn’t be able to access it.
This glitch has caused outrage among the Call of Duty community, with some calling it a “game-breaking bug” and others stating that they will completely avoid the map until Treyarch fixes it. While it might not seem like a huge issue at first, any player who manages to get out of bounds can easily pick off players without being killed, giving them a massively unfair advantage and making any Nuketown match borderline unplayable.
As of writing, Treyarch Studios has yet to acknowledge this exploit, so there’s no way to know when it will be fixed. With Season 1 set to release on December 4, the studio may be preparing a fix for the first major Black Ops 7 content update later this week. But given the severity of the bug, one would like to believe this issue will be addressed with a server-side update in the next day or two. Treyarch has been addressing many of the game’s bugs and balance adjustments pretty quickly since its launch on November 14, but this is by far the most prominent exploit discovered so far.
Unlike past installments in the series, Black Ops 7 hasn’t had any severe bugs or glitches that have been ruining the player experience at launch. But Treyarch has been taking player feedback on board and implementing new changes regularly. One of the game’s most recent updates addressed a controversial element of Black Ops 7‘s Endgame mode and added a disconnect protection feature. Following the release of the latest update, Black Ops 7 now takes a snapshot of a player’s Combat Rating when entering a match of Endgame, and if an unexpected disconnect occurs, players will begin their next match at the Combat Rating that they entered their previous match in.
