Playing through Diablo 4 Season 11 doesn’t need to be complicated when one of the best builds in the game can be played with essentially one button. Season 10 saw the S-Tier Dance of Knives Rogue build excel as a fantastic leveling option that is perfect for endgame challenges as well. While Diablo 4 Season 11 is removing Chaos Armor, which made the build so good in Season 10, it’s being replaced by something just as good.
The meta for Diablo 4 Season 11 is not yet clear, but it’s likely to be far less diverse than last season, without Chaos Armor allowing multiple Unique affixes that are typically mutually exclusive to appear on the same build. The Spiritborn is already on track to be the best class of Diablo 4 Season 11 with its new Path of the Emissary Unique Boots. Joining the Spiritborn at the top of the meta is likely to be Rogue with the addition of Death’s Pavane as a Unique geared toward enhancing the Dance of Knives build.
Diablo 4 Season 11 is Giving Dance of Knives Rogue a New Trick Up Its Sleeve
What makes Dance of Knives Rogue so appealing as a leveling build is the minimal button input it requires. Dance of Knives is the primary skill players will use with this setup, and channeling this skill summons knives around the player that automatically fire at nearby enemies as they move. While the skill requires players to spend charges to launch each knife, there are ways for the Rogue to recharge these knives quickly, including through the new Death’s Pavane’s Unique affix.
Death’s Pavane Will Make Dance of Knives Even Better in Season 11
-
Death’s Pavane
- +15% Dodge Chance while Channeling Dance of Knives
- +11.0% Critical Strike Chance
- +25.0% Movement Speed
- +3 to Dance of Knives
- +85.0% Agility Damage
- Unique Affix: Dance of Knives drops knives from enemies hit. Picking them up grants you 1 Charge and increases your Dance of Knives damage by 10-20% for 6 seconds, stacking up to 3 times.
These Unique Diablo 4 Pants offer a fantastic mix of affixes that are perfect for enhancing the Rogue’s movement capabilities while also making Dance of Knives even stronger than in past seasons. If the player remains moving towards enemies they’ve defeated, they can pick up the knives dropped by this Unique affix to restore charges of Dance of Knives, with the added bonus of a 10-20% damage increase that stacks up to 3 times for a potential total of up to 60% more damage dealt.
The power of the Dance of Knives Rogue Build in Diablo 4 Season 10 largely came from a combination of the Aspect of Star Shards and the Fists of Fate Chaos Unique. Star Shards is a Legendary Aspect that allows the Rogue to consume Combo Points to gain additional Dance of Knives charges, while Fists of Fate gives the Rogue the ability to randomly deal between 1% and 360% of their normal damage per attack. Although Fists of Fate won’t be accessible as Chaos Armor in Season 11, Star Shards will still be able to give Rogues a bit of extra juice.
Upgrading to Enhanced Dance of Knives also allows the Rogue to restore charges of the skill simply by moving enough distance, making movement speed a crucial factor in this build.
To make up for the lack of Chaos Armor in Season 11, Diablo 4 Rogues running this build will want to utilize the damage increase from Death’s Pavane. Not only is this damage bonus more reliable than that of Fists of Fate, but it also restores a charge of the skill as well. The combination of these abilities should allow Dance of Knives Rogues to be constantly moving while keeping the skill active indefinitely, even if they don’t have a chance to score a 360% increased damage hit.
