Z-A DLC Rumors and Leaks So Far
Pokemon Legends: Z-A players can keep the Lumiose City adventure going when the Mega Dimension DLC drops on December 10. While there have been a few details revealed for this DLC, such as new Megas for Raichu, Chimecho, and Baxcalibur, players are still mostly being kept in the dark. However, there have been a series of leaks for Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s DLC, potentially shining a light on what players can expect at release.
From what has been officially shared about the Mega Dimensions DLC, Pokemon Legends: Z-A players can expect to enter an alternate version of Lumiose City, known as Hyperspace Lumoise. The Mythical Pokemon Hoopa will play a key role in this expansion, along with its partner trainer, Ansha, who will aid Team MZ in their investigation of the spatial distortions popping up around the city. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is set to break a Gen 1 tradition by increasing the maximum Pokemon level cap beyond 100.
New Megas and Returning Mons Leaked for Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC
One of the most interesting parts of the Mega Dimension DLC is the Pokemon leaked to be in it, including both returning mons and those getting new Mega Evolutions. From datamines of the game, a total of 19 new Mega Evolutions are being added in the DLC, including the two Mega Raichu forms, Mega Chimecho, and Mega Baxcalibur that have already been revealed. Additionally, a total of 138 Pokemon are leaked to be returning to significantly expand upon the base game’s Pokedex.

Of the leaked Megas coming in Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s DLC, the most interesting are perhaps the ones that already have a Mega Evolution. Absol, Lucario, and Garchomp are supposedly receiving a second Mega Evolution form, although it is unclear if this form will replace their current ones, or act more like Charizard, Mewtwo, and Raichu’s X/Y split Megas.
A few Legendaries and Mythicals also appear to be getting new Mega Evolutions, including Gen 4’s Heatran and Darkrai, as well as Gen 7’s Magearna and Zeraora. It’s also nice to see more Gen 9 critters like Scovillain, Glimmora, and Tatsugiri getting some attention on top of Baxcalibur, since Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s base game was surprisingly light on Pokemon from Paldea.

If this leaked information is true, Heatran will be leaning into its Special capabilities, boosting its Special Attack and Special Defense significantly when Mega-Evolved. Mega Darkrai becomes much more bulky, with a massive increase to both its Defense and Special Defense, at the cost of a reduced Speed. Mega Zeraora gets a slight boost in Speed, with both Attack and Special Attack getting most of its Mega Evolution stat increases, solidifying its status as a mixed attacker.

With 138 more creatures being added to Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Pokedex with this DLC, players will have even more variety to use in battle. Most notable are the large number of Gen 8 and 9 mons allegedly being added in this DLC, which fill in a major blind spot in Legends: Z-A‘s base Pokedex. The Hoenn starter trio of Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert is also a significant addition, as they all have Mega Evolutions not yet available in Legends: Z-A. Similarly, Megas for Legendaries like Latias, Latios, and Rayquaza, as well as Primal Groudon and Kyogre, are also leaked to be returning in the Mega Dimension DLC, rounding out the rest of the game’s missing Megas.
Mega Dimension DLC Character and Story Leaks
- Battle against Jett
- 2 New Moves and 82 New Side Missions
- Rogue Mega Battles Against Primal Groudon and Kyogre
There haven’t been many leaks about the characters and story of Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Mega Dimension DLC beyond the premise of visiting Hyperspace Lumiose using the power of Hoopa and Ansha. However, there have been a few leaked details about what players can expect in this regard. One leaked screenshot of the DLC shows players battling against Quasartico’s CEO Jett, who appears to be using a Meowstic. With Meowstic said to be getting a Mega Evolution, it’s likely that this is Jett’s ace, and it will Mega Evolve during the battle.
Datamines show that the DLC is also set to introduce two new moves, although it’s not clear what they are from their designations in the game’s data. In addition to the 120 side missions of Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s base game, the DLC appears to be adding 82 more. Whether these are all side missions or include some main missions has been discovered. However, the leaks also indicate that players will face Rogue Mega Evolution battles against Primal Groudon and Kyogre, which seem like they have the potential to be some of the toughest challenges in the game.
