If you’re attempting to complete your living Pokedex in Pokemon GO, one of the Pokemon that might stump you is Ursaluna. The newish evolution for Ursaring (introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus), can only be obtained by evolving Ursaring during a Full Moon. As one might guess, no full moons are happening every day, so you kind of need to be prepared in advance to make sure you can take advantage.
This guide will show players the upcoming full moons for 2025 and 2026 so you can finally evolve your Ursaring into Ursaluna and get one step closer to catching ’em all.
It’s worth noting that the in-game full moons in Pokemon GO might differ a bit from the real-time full moon happening in the real world. It’s not super consistent, so just be sure to take these dates/times with a grain of salt. Your best bet is to play the game at night during the full moon in your region and check the evolution screen for Ursaring to see if it’s possible. Some players report being able to evolve it hours after a full moon has “started.” It seems that the developers might have to toggle on the full moon effect in-game, so just keep an eye out.

Evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna
Teddiursa evolves into Ursaring with 50 Candy, and to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna, you will need 100 Candy, and it needs to be a full moon. Here’s a table of the next couple of full moon dates (Eastern Time) so that Pokemon GO players can get ready for the evolution. Keep in mind that the times might not be 100% accurate, but should be pretty reliable.
