Black Ops 7 Leaks 3 Classic Maps for Season 2

By newsgame

A new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 leak has revealed that previous Black Ops maps Plaza, Slums, and Yemen could all arrive in Season 2. If it comes to fruition, it would continue the trend of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 bringing back popular maps from the series’ past.

At launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 featured three remakes of classic maps: Raid, Express, and Hijacked. Treyarch also recently released Nuketown for the game, with remakes of Standoff, Meltdown, and Fringe also on the way in Season 1. While there are also tons of non-remastered maps, it’s clear that bringing fan-favorites back from previous games has been something of a priority for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Players Can Earn Free Rewards for Season 1

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 players can earn plenty of free rewards for the game’s Season 1 update, including a new Weapon Camo and Double XP tokens.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 2 May Feature Plaza, Slums, and Yemen

Now, according to leaker TheGhostOfHope on X, it seems that remakes of Yemen, Plaza, and Slums are all planned as part of the roadmap for the next Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 season. All three maps made their debut in Black Ops 2, but only Slums appeared in subsequent Black Ops releases. If correct, players won’t have to wait too much longer to try out remastered versions of this popular trio.

Bringing back classic maps is a tried-and-tested way to evoke nostalgia among Call of Duty players, which is why Treyarch does it time and time again. It’s worth noting that, because this is a leak, there’s no guarantee it will come to fruition, but it would be right in line with the developer’s strategy for the series in recent years. Completely new Call of Duty maps are great, but sometimes, it’s great to revisit the old battlegrounds.

Although Season 1 is filled with new content, it hasn’t stopped Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 from enduring a tough launch by the series’ own lofty standards. With Battlefield 6 continuing to enjoy a strong first couple of months, it feels as though Black Ops 7 has a tough task on its hands to keep players on board until the inevitable 2026 Call of Duty release. Whether bringing back even more classic maps with every new season is enough remains to be seen.
