The PC game release calendar is forever full, thanks to Steam being a haven for all sorts of indie titles. Even if you have fairly niche tastes, you will pretty much always have something to play; heck, even if you only want to play big AAA PC games, then you will still be spoiled for choice. Due to the sheer quantity of drops, keeping track of quality arrivals can be tricky or just straight-up futile, but we are here to try and make that process easier by listing the notable releases that will soon (or eventually) hit digital store shelves.

RPGs, Soulslikes, life sims, first-person shooters, third-person shooters, isometric shooters, horror, action, action-adventure, strategy, single-player, multiplayer, and every other possible genre are well-represented, and all of them have major upcoming games that have the potential to be all-time greats. 2026 should be a great year for gaming, especially if your main system is a PC.

Big PC Games Releasing In November 2025

Call of Duty, Anno, Europa Universalis, & More

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 came out in November 2025, and that is the only thing that really matters. OK, that’s not fair, as games like Anno 117, SpongeBob Squarepants: Titans of the Tide, Where Winds Meet, and Project Motor Racing all look great or are great; however, COD is an institution that towers over any potential competitor. Without a doubt, BO7 will be the best-selling PC game of the month, if not the entire year. It is just how things work nowadays.

If you are not interested in COD, you have a lot of options to keep you busy for the month. Europa Universalis V and Anno 117 can each keep somebody entertained for months, and Football Manager 26 might eventually become decent. Sonic Rumble is a free-to-play multiplayer game, if you want to give that a try. That said, Where Winds Meet is the standout release of the month, and it is straight-up one of 2025’s biggest PC games.

Pathologic, Code Vein, The Midnight Walkers, & More

While not devoid of huge PC game releases, January 2026 is fairly limited, which tends always to be the case for the first month of the year. That said, we won’t be devoid of things to play, and Pathologic 3 should get the year started on a terrifying and, hopefully, brilliant note. The Midnight Walkers is a promising hardcore extraction shooter, and Code Vein 2 will hopefully build on its predecessor’s strong foundation to deliver the definitive anime Soulslike.

Don’t worry if January 2026’s upcoming PC games lineup had nothing for you, as the year will really pick up in February. We have Deus Ex returning as a remaster, on the same day as Dragon Quest 7 arrives through a remake. If fully new experiences are your preference, then Nioh 3, Reanimal, High on Life 2, and Resident Evil Requiem should keep you busy for a very long time. Also, Yakuza Kiwami 3, Ys X, and Tales of Berseria Remastered are pretty big deals in their own right.

Crimson Desert, Paralives, 007, & More

Somehow, March 2026 will be even better than its predecessor, depending on your genre preferences. Crimson Desert looks set to be the biggest action-adventure game of the year’s first quarter, and it should have fantastic combat. 007 First Light will mark James Bond’s long-awaited return to the gaming scene, and it will hopefully deliver great globe-trotting spy goodness. Paralives could be a game-changing life sim, and Mouse: PI For Hire looks awesome. Fatal Frame 2 and Monster Hunter Stories 3 drop within 24 hours of each other, and they are both heavyweights.
