Pokemon Reveals More Pokemon Pokopia Plushies Coming This Year
The Pokemon Company revealed that some Pokemon Pokopia plushies will be available later in 2026, as dolls of some of the game’s characters, such as Peakychu, were shown off on social media. The Pokemon Pokopia plushie doll selection will be available this summer across the globe via Pokemon Center.
The plushie news came following the successful launch of Pokemon Pokopia. As the first Pokemon title exclusive to the Switch 2 console, Pokemon Pokopia has been praised for its cozy aesthetic and for allowing Pokemon trainers to be creative about building various Pokemon habitats. The game’s global success has not gone unnoticed, as Nintendo reported that Pokemon Pokopia had sold over 2.2 million copies worldwide within four days of its March 5 release. Despite the fact that Pokemon Pokopia shipped on the Switch 2’s controversial Game-Key Card format, that has not stopped physical copies of Pokemon‘s latest side-series entry from briefly selling out at major retailers like Target and Walmart.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC Getting a Boxed Release
A boxed version of last year’s Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends: Z-A is coming to store shelves for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
New Pokemon Pokopia Plushies Are Coming This Summer
- Peakychu
- Mosslax
- Professor Tangrowth
With Pokemon Pokopia being hailed as one of the top reasons to buy a Switch 2, The Pokemon Company announced that some Pokopia merchandise will be available for purchase later in 2026. The Pokemon Company posted an image on Twitter of three Pokemon Pokopia plush dolls that will be sold via Pokemon Center this summer. The plush dolls revealed were Peakychu, Mosslax, and Professor Tangrowth, all of which are characters that players will meet throughout Pokemon Pokopia. The plush doll picture was taken outside, with some foliage in the background. Given the size of each Pokemon Pokopia plush to the grass and the bushes, each doll will likely be similar in size to Pokemon‘s Comfy Friends plush lineup, though further details remain elusive.

In response, some Pokemon fans stated that they were glad to see Peakychu receive some new merchandise, while others requested that a doll of other Pokemon Pokopia characters, including Chef Dente, be available in the future. Despite the optimism, a few Pokemon trainers remained wary that the Pokopia plushes could run the risk of selling out quickly and being resold by scalpers at marked-up prices. Given that Peakychu and Mosslax are visibly distinct from their usual counterparts of Snorlax and Pikachu, it stands to reason that merchandise of these Pokopia-specific critters would be manufactured. As of this writing, The Pokemon Company has not revealed how much the Pokemon Pokopia plushes will cost or when exactly they will be available, so interested trainers must wait for more information.
Pokemon Doll Collectors Are in for a Busy Time
Alongside the Pokemon Pokopia plush announcement, Pokemon fans looking for some more Squishmallows plush dolls are also in luck. Squishmallows confirmed that Pokemon plushies of Raichu and Oshawott will arrive soon via Pokemon Center, though no precise release date was posted. Given that Pokemon‘s lineup of Squishmallows is consistently sized at 12 inches and priced at $29.99 each, it is likely that the upcoming Raichu and Oshawott Squishmallows will be similarly sized and priced. However, time will tell when Pokemon trainers can get their hands on the new dolls, and how quickly they will sell out.
As for Pokemon Pokopia, The Pokemon Company confirmed that support for the game will continue following its successful launch. Pokemon Pokopia will receive a post-launch patch to address some issues with the game. Some of the bugs that should be fixed in the next Pokopia patch have to do with issues that could impede progress if Pokemon like Squirtle and Professor Tangrowth get stuck on some blocks. Given that Pokemon Pokopia‘s main story is tied to having specific Pokemon at different locations, the game’s lingering issues can be annoying for players to deal with. It remains to be seen when Pokopia‘s next update will be available.
