Where Winds Meet: Which Guidance Mode (& Difficulty) Should You Choose?
Before starting Where Winds Meet, it’s a good idea to find the right Guidance and Difficulty modes for your playthrough.
How to Cook in Where Winds Meet
Like with most open-world RPGS, you first need to unlock recipes to start cooking in Where Winds Meet. Although every recipe already exists in your cooking menu, you must meet certain conditions to unlock them. These include completing quests, joining fishing contests, progressing exploration tasks, and more.
Then, you need to start gathering your ingredients. These can come from hunting animals, foraging, fishing or purchasing from merchants.
With both the recipe and ingredients ready, you can begin cooking. To do this, find any fire in the world that has a cooking pot placed above it. These cooking spots are common near settlements, wilderness rest points, and camps.
When you find one, here’s what you need to do:
- Approach the cooking station and interact with it to open the cooking interface.
- Choose a recipe you want to prepare. If you haven’t unlocked many yet, you can start with the basic ones.
- Check the required ingredients shown on the recipe screen, making sure you have them in your inventory before you begin.
- Add your ingredients to the pot and confirm the cooking action to start preparing the dish.
- Wait for the animation to finish as your character cooks the meal.
- The freshly made dish will now appear in your inventory and can be used for health recovery or temporary buffs.
Cooking a meal consumes your stamina, so keep this in mind when preparing multiple servings.
