How to Recover Life in Greedfall 2 The Dying World
In GreedFall 2: The Dying World, there are three main ways to actively heal your characters: rest, potions, and spells. All three options are available to players right from the start of the game, but due to the confusing UI and dense tutorial screens, it’s easy to miss the details of how to do so.
In addition to active healing, characters in GreedFall 2 also have the ability to passively heal themselves, though this can take a long time. If players don’t have the resources or ability to use healing items to recover HP, simply letting time heal your wounds always remains an option.

How to Recover Health in GreedFall 2: The Dying World
As mentioned previously, there are three main ways to heal your characters in GreedFall 2. They are:
- Resting at a bed or travel point
- Healing Potions
- Healing Skills
Rest
You can rest at a bed or a fast travel point to fully recover all life and action points. Beds can be found in your home and at campfires, whereas fast travel points are unlocked as you explore the world.
Creatures and animals that have already been defeated may return during your rest if it is long enough.
Healing Potions
Drinking Healing Potions and consuming other healing items allows players to restore Life to their characters. Healing Potions can be crafted at a workbench under the Recipes section. Healing Potions can only be drunk during a Tactical Pause.
To use a Healing Potion in Greedfall 2, here’s what you need to do:
- Press Space Bar (PC) or RB/R1 (Controller) for a Tactical Pause.
- Select an empty hotbar slot, and press Q to Bind.
- Go to the Consumable tab, and select the healing potion from the list of available items
Alternatively, you can also use the default Healing Potion icon on the hotbar (third one from the right) to bring up a list of all available Healing Potions in your inventory at a glance instead of assigning a single type to a hotbar slot.
Healing Skills
Certain classes and skill trees offer players the chance to learn skills that restore Life when cast on an allied character. Using these skills requires Action Points, which can only be obtained by resting or through Combat. At the start of the game, your companion, Nilan, possess the Initiate’s Healing skill by default.
If you picked the Healer, Doneigad, or Spell Caster Character Profile at the start of the game, the protagonist will get access to free healing spells from the Teer Fradee Bracelets Mastery skill.
