Black Ops 7 Zombies brings back the dreaded Shock Mimics, so it’s time to learn how to deal with them. Shock Mimics are weak to the Brain Rot Ammo Mod, and there are a few Augments that will help increase the potency of this ammo mod and ensure that Shock Mimics won’t survive the first few bullets.

There are a few ways to make Brain Rot even better, and we’ll share those details below. We’ll also have a handy way for you to deal with Shock Mimics, as these fiends can be encountered with the Lawyer’s Pen Relic in Cursed Mode, and now in Paradox Junction after Round 12.

How to Easily Kill Uber Klaus in Black Ops 7 Zombies

Uber Klaus is one of the greatest threats that players will face in Black Ops 7 Zombies, which is why you will need to know how to kill it.

How to Kill Shock Mimics (& What Brain Rot Augments to Use) in Black Ops 7

If you’re really struggling with Shock Mimics, focus on these Augments for Brain Rot:

  1. Caustic Fumes (Major Augment) — Will make the Shock Mimic an ally who deals Toxic damage to nearby enemies.
  2. Explosive (Minor Augment) — If charmed, the Shock Mimic will explode and deal Toxic damage.
  3. Super Serum (Minor Augment) — Increases the damage dealt by charmed enemies, ensuring the Shock Mimic remains a friend for longer.

To increase the damage of Brain Rot, you can also use the Elemental Pop Minor Augment, Vulnera Bean, which increases enemy elemental weakness damage. Which, in this case, is Brain Rot for Shock Mimics.

The strategy with Shock Mimics remains pretty simple, but it will require you to be alert. Shock Mimics will spawn as items, so if you see a Scorestreak or Perk Can on the floor, it’s more than likely that it’s a pesky Shock Mimic waiting for you to go near it so it can spawn in.

You can ignore the items to refuse to spawn a Shock Mimic, but with close-quarters, it’s inevitable that you’ll run into it. The trick with Shock Mimics is to stay on the move and not use Equipment, as Shock Mimics can counter Field Upgrades and destroy Lethal/Tactical Equipment.

Instead, rely on your movement. Stay on the move, and only look back to shoot the Shock Mimic when you have decent range. Deadshot Daiquiri and Double Tap Root Beer are great Perks to use against Shock Mimics, as you can really hone in on their weakspot, which is the open mouth.
