As it did for Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch Productions is adding a free-to-download multiplayer mode update for Ghost of Yotei. You’ll get to choose between four varied classes and play online with friends (or strangers) to take down waves of enemies on four unique maps. While Sucker Punch and Sony have not confirmed the exact release time for the Legends update, we’ve estimated an expected launch time based on previous patches and updates: around 9 AM Pacific Time / 12 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, March 10.

One line in the PlayStation Blog’s post about the release of Yotei Legends hints that our release time is accurate. The bottom of the post states that “Ghost of Yōtei Legends will launch on March 11 in some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.” This tells us that the update will launch at the same time around the world, rather than a regional midnight unlock.
It’s also worth noting that the original Legends mode for Ghost of Tsushima, launched in 2020, debuted in the morning for PS4 players in the US, and other major multiplayer content drops were also released in the morning, such as the competitive 2v2 Rivals mode in 2021.
