As 2025 rapidly comes to a close, there’s still one more round of PlayStation Plus games to come for members of Sony’s subscription service. This year has been an all-around successful one for PlayStation Plus, and it was also busier than usual because Sony is seemingly celebrating the service’s 15th anniversary. PS Plus has added a slew of great games that were widely welcomed by members, with popular games like Silent Hill 2 Remake, Diablo 4, Lies of P, and Stardew Valley gracing the service during the course of the year.

With the last PS Plus lineup for 2025 on the horizon, there are a few more games that would be excellent to see across the catalogs before the year is officially over.

PS Plus Free Games for December 2025 Wish List – Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2

Read Game Rant’s Review of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2

One of last year’s most popular and successful third-person shooters, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is a big improvement on the already solid foundations of the 2011 original. Boasting impressively massive hordes of enemies in the form of the insectoid alien Tyranids for players to blast through either solo or co-op in the campaign, Space Marine 2 also has a robust range of compelling PvP and PvE modes that provide tons of fun and entertainment, making it a great pick to expand PS Plus’ shooter games.

  • Experience fast-paced, third-person, ranged and melee combat. It’s brutal, and it’s large scale.
  • Experience deep class-based progression.
  • Enjoy multiple game modes from the campaign to co-op Operations.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics brings a total of 7 classic fighting games from across the franchises together in one complete and convenient package. On top of including entries like Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel Super Heroes, and X-Men vs. Street Fighter, it also contains the 1993 beat-em-up, The Punisher. PS Plus’ expansive library adding this collection would be perfect for the holiday season for fans to challenge their friends and family.

  • Enjoy an all-star arcade package, as this would essentially be a 7-in-1 game.
  • With rollback netcode, training modes, and more, its retro combat meets modern features.
  • Nostalgia-driven extras include a museum of over 500 artworks, a music play, and display filters for an authentic arcade feel.

PS Plus Free Games for December 2025 Wish List – New Tales From the Borderlands

Read Game Rant’s Review of New Tales From the Borderlands

The second narrative adventure spin-off after Telltale’s original take, New Tales From the Borderlands, is developed by IP owner Gearbox Studios. Introducing an all-new cast but containing the same off-beat humor and wild antics that the series is known for, New Tales From the Borderlands follows an eclectic group of friends who must band together to stop a nefarious scheme. With Borderlands 4 losing some steam recently, this entry coming to PS Plus before the year closes could help it regain some ground and let players who haven’t checked it out yet enjoy its well-written and performed story.

  • Enjoy a character-driven, emotional narrative with three protagonists (Anu, Octavio, and Fran)
  • Go on your own choice-based adventure, featuring customizable quick-time events for key moments.
  • Enjoy mini-games and cinematic polish befitting a Telltale-inspired game.

December 2025 Wish List For PS Plus Extra and Premium

  • Bramble: The Mountain King: Part platformer and part puzzler, Bramble sends players on a journey through a world steeped in the often darker tone of Nordic fables. Its striking visuals and emotional core round out the fantastic experience, and adding it would mean PS Plus gets a genuinely unique game.
  • Killzone: Guerrilla Games’ Killzone franchise was an iconic FPS series for PlayStation before its later success with the Horizon games. While other entries have previously hit PS Plus, the first outing still hasn’t and remains a worthwhile ride and potential pick.
  • Slitterhead: From Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama’s studio, Slitterhead is an intriguing, if a little uneven, action-horror game. But it has some great ideas and fun gameplay, and it would pair well with other recent PS Plus additions like SH2 Remake and Alan Wake 2.
  • Lords of the Fallen (2023): A sort of soft-reboot and update for the original 2014 Soulslike, developer Hexworks rebalanced and smoothed out several combat and design elements for this version.
  • Rayman 2: The Great Escape – Though other Rayman titles have been on PS Plus in the past, Rayman 2 has yet to leap onto the service, and now would be a great time to see it added.
  • Octopath Traveler: Square Enix’s first entry in its modern 2D-HD JRPG series set it down a road that will continue in the upcoming Octopath Traveler 0. The original hitting PS Plus for December would bridge the gap well.
  • Sorry We’re Closed: An indie survival horror game with a vibrant sense of style and charm, Sorry We’re Closed is an underrated gem and would round out 2025 well for PS Extra or Premium.
