Resident Evil Village features a multitude of trophies and achievements to earn, and a majority of them are both hidden and missable. If you’re looking to play Resident Evil Village, but you’re scared not just of the monsters, but of missing out on the achievements, then we’ve got you covered.
Below, you’ll find a chronological run of all Resident Evil Village trophies that can be missed in a single playthrough. There’s no backtracking needed or old save files for this guide, as you can get these trophies in order to ensure you’re one step closer to 100%.

Move the Ball From the Winterses’ Bedroom Into the Study
This achievement is earned in the Prologue. After you put Rose to bed, look down at the floor in the bedroom, where you can see a yellow ball. You need to walk into the yellow ball to kick it until it ends up in the office, which is directly opposite the crib.

Bookworm
Read Every Single File in the Story
For this achievement, you’ll need to essentially play the game from prologue to end, as you will have to collect all 47 files that can be found throughout the entire run of the game. These files are drops of lore that can be acquired by interacting with pieces of paper, and we have a full guide for them here:

Timber
Defeat Urias During the First Lycan Attack When You Enter the Village
This achievement won’t be possible on your first playthrough, so you’ll have to quickly come back here in New Game Plus. When you enter the village and begin the lycan attack, you will spot Urias, the giant lycan with a hammer. You will need to defeat Urias, which is made possible with New Game + weapons like the grenade launcher and other explosives.
Heretic
Destroy All the Goats of Warding
Heretic requires you to find and shoot all 20 Goats of Warding. This is another collectible achievement where you are going to be tasked with running through the entire game in search of these wooden goats. Luckily for you, we have a chapter-by-chapter guide for all 20 Goats of Warding right here:

Get the Ball Rolling
Solve a Labyrinth
There are a total of 4 Labyrinth Puzzles to find, and each of them has a unique area. You’ll need to first locate the ball, then the Labyrinth Puzzle itself, and then rotate the ball through the labyrinth for your prize. We have a full guide on all 4 Labyrinth Puzzles below, but we’ll show you how to get the easiest one:
Resident Evil Village: All Labyrinth Puzzle Solutions
Here are the locations for all Labyrinth Puzzles and Labyrinth Balls in Resident Evil Village so you can acquire some unique riches!
In Castle Dimitrescu, head upstairs to the Opera Hall, where, in a closet in the left corridor, you will find the Flower Swords Ball. With this ball, head to the Merchant’s Room, opposite the Hall of the Four in the south. Inside, you can find the corresponding Labyrinth Puzzle.
Hooligan
Break Every Breakable Window in Castle Dimitrescu in a Single Playthrough
While in Castle Dimitrescu, you will be required to smash every window that you see. There are fortunately only 20 of them, and we’ll showcase where you can find the windows and how many are in each area:
- Kitchen x2
- Dining Room x2
- Hallway towards Lady Dimitrescu’s Chambers x2
- Lady Dimitrescu’s Chambers x3
- Courtyard & Hall of Ablution x3
- Opera Hall x3
- Hall of Joy x1
- Atelier x1
You shouldn’t leave Castle Dimitrescu until this achievement has been earned, or you’ll have to come back here on an earlier save or in NG+.
Repairer
Combine a Treasure Into Its Complete Form
Across your journey, you will find multiple treasures, and all can be sold to Duke for Lei. However, some treasures can actually be combined from the treasures menu in your inventory, thus making them worth more Lei. There are a few treasures that can be combined, like Heisenberg’s Hammer or the Wooden Animal, but the easiest is the Azure Eye Ring.
This achievement can be earned in Castle Dimitrescu, and it requires you to head into the prison area of the Basement. There’s a small puzzle here after opening the Special Chambers, which requires you to light the braziers, and the reward is an Azure Eye. Now, locate a drawer in the Hall of Peasure (2F) for the Silver Ring, and combine the two for this achievement.
Trick Shot
Defeat an Enemy from Long Range with the Sniper Rifle in the Story
Once you reach the Attic, you can find the F2 Rifle, which is the Sniper Rifle you need for this achievement. As you leave the Attic for the Rooftops, you will see these flying creatures. Simply by aiming at one and shooting it, you will get this achievement, as the height of the flight more than accounts for the necessary distance.
Squawk Shot
Shoot Down Five Flying Crows in the Story
Throughout the story, you will come across some crows that can be found pecking at the ground, corpses, and scarecrows. Try not to scare them off, as you actually want to kill them for this achievement. There are multiple areas where crows will sit, so just check around the Village and use a Shotgun to kill multiple at once, and keep hunting them until you have a total of 5.
When You Gotta Go…
Open the Door to Every Outhouse in the Village in a Single Playthrough
For this achievement, you will need to find 10 outhouses around the Village, and open each of their doors. Don’t worry, you won’t be peeping on any lycans doing their business, and you might even find some goodies! This is quite the lengthy collectible, and you can find a full guide of locations right here:

Leader of the Pack
Take Down the Varcolac Alfa in the Story
Once you’ve finished in the Moreau’s Reservoir area, you will want to return to Fallow’s Point, which is the field with scarecrows by Luzia’s house. Upon arriving at this area, you will be confronted by Varcolac, a secret werewolf boss. This enemy has quite a lot of health, so stock up on explosives and ammo before trying to kill him.
Medium Rare
Set Fire to a Moroaica in the Story
After defeating Moreau, you will have the Crank item. With the Crank, you can return to the Lone Road, which is west of the Altar. Here, you will find a drawbridge that can be opened with the Crank, and a boat awaits on the other side. Take the boat north through the Mountain Stream to find the Riverbank Treasure House.
Inside the building, shoot the brazier into the unlit pillar on the right. This will spawn a Moroaica. Now, shoot the lit brazier into the Moroaica, which will then catch on fire, thus earning you the achievement.
Fast Reflexes
Knock a Flaming Arrow Out of the Sky With a Close Combat Weapon in the Story
For Fast Reflexes, you will need to knock a flaming arrow out of the sky with your knife. This can only be achieved in the Stronghold area, which is the way forward after Moreau’s Reservoir. Leading to the Stronghold, a lycan will be using a bow with flaming arrows. With your Knife equipped, hold L1/LB to guard, which will see you deflect the arrow.
Quit Hanging Around
Shoot Down a Soldat Hanging From the Production Line in the Factory
When you arrive at Heisenberg’s Factory, you will be able to see a multitude of hanging corpses being shipped out on conveyor belts. These enemies, soldats, are always moving, so it’s nearly impossible to miss. Simply look towards the distance at the soldats on the factory line, and use an explosive from a grenade launcher to knock them down.
Mapmatician
Complete the Village Map
For the Mapmatician achievement, you will need to visit every area in the Village. This essentially means you will have to access every building and walk through them from East Old Town all the way to the Graveyard. Thankfully, this isn’t as hard as it sounds, especially if you’re collecting all Goats of Warding and Files. The achievement should unlock in the finale.
Artisan & Tinkerer
There are 11 recipes that you can craft in Resident Evil Village, and for the most part, you’ll easily have all the ingredients you need, as they’re found simply by looting in different rooms. As long as you have Herbs, Gunpowder, Chem Fluid, Rusted Scrap, and Metal Scrap, you’ll have all you need. However, you’ll also need to know how to get the recipes, which you can find here:

The only addition to this achievement that will make the whole process a tad lengthy is that you need to complete the story mode on Village of Shadows difficulty to get the Rocket Pistol, which has its own recipe once unlocked. This difficulty is only available in NG+, meaning you won’t get the achievement until your third playthrough.
