ARC Raiders Players Have a Big Problem With One Gun in Particular

Despite the popular extraction shooter’s extreme popularity, some ARC Raiders players have come together to express their disappointment with the Bettina assault rifle, as its effectiveness in combat doesn’t seem to fit with its rarity. ARC Raiders made its initial debut on October 30 and is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Embark Studios is constantly making changes to the ARC Raiders, buffing or nerfing weapons and items to ensure that players have the most enjoyable experience possible. Patches filled with bug fixes and changes are the lifeblood of live-service titles, which is especially true for ones that contain a PvP element. In ARC Raiders‘ recent 1.3.0 patch, the developers took aim at a couple of weapons that seemed to be performing a little too well. The Venator, which had become the meta, had its fire-rate decreased and its weight increased. The Hullcracker was also nerfed, as explosive damage was re-tuned after performing a little too effectively against larger ARCs. While some players are lamenting recent changes made to the Venator and Hullcracker in the 1.3.0 patch, others are asking Embark Studios to consider making changes to one gun they feel is underperforming.

Arc Raiders Players Want a Bettina Buff

In a recent post on Reddit, moepossum1 criticized the current state of the Bettina in ARC Raiders, claiming that the epic rarity assault rifle just isn’t worth the trouble. According to moepossum1, they entered a match with a fully upgraded Bettina stacked with epic mods, only to exit the match underwhelmed by the weapon’s performance. In fact, they stated that they would prefer to use a Stitcher or Kettle, two of the game’s common weapons that can be crafted with significantly less resources. Both guns are also readily available in the game’s free loadouts, making them incredibly easy to acquire.

Moepossum1 also mentioned that the Bettina’s durability seemed to be an issue, as it needed significant repairs after the match. Other players were quick to agree, stating that repairing the weapon after every match had proven to be a drain on their resources in ARC Raiders. Fellow gamers also mentioned that the weapon’s damage seemed problematic, as its low fire-rate and heavy ammo both indicate that the epic rarity weapon should be able to take down enemies more efficiently.

While there’s no way of knowing how Embark Studios will respond to the community’s criticism of the Bettina, many players are hoping the weapon will receive a buff at some point in the future. It’s clear that the developers have been listening to feedback from gamers, as the 1.3.0 patch gave players the option to decorate their rooms with ducks in ARC Raiders. While it may seem a bit silly, the feature was highly requested by the community prior to the patch’s release. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of ARC Raiders.
