All Masks Locations (Behind the Mask Trophy)

Masks are one of the major collectible types in REANIMAL, which are hidden around the game levels across different chapters. They aren’t just there for the sake of collecting, as players can also equip them with both the Boy and the Girl. There are a total of 18 masks in REANIMAL (excluding pre-order bonuses), and this guide shows the locations of each one in the game so you can collect them all and earn the Behind the Mask achievement/trophy.

REANIMAL: How to Open the Secret Bunker (All Codes)

There’s a Secret Bunker in REANIMAL chapter 6 that requires players to enter a special code to unlock the final poster and get an achievement.

All Mask Locations in REANIMAL Chapter 1

There are three masks in Chapter One: Dead in the Water of REANIMAL that players can collect.

Bird Head Mask (1/18)

Mill is one of the first locations that players will visit after arriving at the sandy shores of this dark and gritty world. As players are making their way up the ladder to the Mill’s boiler room, they’ll spot a door at the top of the stairs to the left.

Heading through the door will take them to the exterior of the factory on a catwalk. Shimmy through the crack in the wall to the left to enter a locked-off room.

Players will enter a small crawlspace with the Bird Head mask sitting atop one of the crates.

Worm Head Mask (2/18)

After solving the Mill boiler room puzzle in REANMIAL’s chapter one, players will enter the back office of the building, which leads to the exterior of the building. Instead of heading outside, open one of the lockers to the right, which will open up a hidden pathway to a secret area.

Head inside the little room with a large bathtub. Keep going right till you arrive at a sink under the light bulb’s glow. There’s strange intestine-looking stuff on the ground, and you’ll be able to pick up the Worm Head mask from here.

Conch Head Mask (3/18)

REANIMAL Secret Room with Conch Head Mask

Once players reach the exterior section of the Mill with the draisine on the train tracks, they’ll spot two doors to the left. Open up the one that isn’t lit up by a light bulb, and you’ll enter a secret area.

Head up the catwalk and into a secret office with a lot of shelves. You’ll find the Conch Head mask sitting atop a crate on the ground.

All Mask Locations in REANIMAL Chapter 2

There are two masks in Chapter Two: The Cleansing House of REANIMAL that players can collect

Pig Head Mask (4/18)

After escaping a chase sequence by the Sniffer, players will enter the Village, which is the main area of chapter two. While making their way to the Cinema, they’ll need to cut through a tailor shop with two mannequins standing in the middle. There’s a small crack in the wall behind the counter to the left that players can shimmy through.

Inside the secret room, there’s a head of a pig placed on the counter under the ominous glow of a red bulb. Just to the left of the gruesome scene, players will be able to pick up the Pig Head mask in REANIMAL.

Cone Head Mask (5/18)

As players retrieve a Crowbar from the Sniffer’s Cage room, they’ll eventually end up back outside the Cinema in Village Square. Instead of heading through the broken building to the main objective, head back up the street (towards the camera) till you see a boarded-up door to the right. Use the Crowbar to pry off the wooden boards and enter the secret area.

Inside the secret room, you’ll encounter a spider-like creature under a traffic cone that is called a “Critter” in REANIMAL. Use the Crowbar to melee the creature until it’s dead. You’ll be able to pick up the Cone Head mask from its body and use it on your character.

All Mask Locations in REANIMAL Chapter 3

There’s only a single mask that players can find in REANIMAL’s Chapter Three: After the Flood.

Deer Head Mask (6/18)

As players make their way across the sandy beaches and start climbing the long ladder in chapter three. You’ll reach a beautiful field of flowers at the top. Keep walking to the left of the field until you spot a scarecrow in the distance.

Use the crowbar to hit the scarecrow, and a Critter will fall off it. Now, you’ll need to deal with the Critter using your crossbow until it drops dead. You’ll be able to pick up the Deer Head mask from it afterward.

All Mask Locations in REANIMAL Chapter 4

There are three masks in Chapter Four: No Shelter of REANIMAL that players can collect.

Bucket Head Mask (7/18)

Orphanage is the first location players will visit in chapter four, and they’ll enter it through the large clock on the roof. Once players head inside, go to the right side of the room, and crouch down to enter a secret room through the bookshelf.

As soon as you exit the secret room after exploring inside, you’ll find a Critter running around outside. Take out the Critter using your Crowbar, and it’ll drop the Bucket Head mask on the ground.

Crown Head Mask (8/18)

As players venture deeper into the Orphanage, they’ll arrive inside a room with a bunch of pale children gathered around a throne watching Bucket Head being taken away.

You’ll need to fight off the pale children in this section, but focus on the child wearing the crown first. As soon as the combat encounter begins, they’ll try to flee to the back of the throne. You’ll need to quickly run to the back of the throne first to catch them running away and start hitting them with melee weapons. Once the king is taken out, you can claim the Crown Head mask from their body.

Plant Head Mask (9/18)

After surviving the ambush by the pale children in the bunk bedroom, players will arrive in a hallway with large cracks in the floor. Immediately turn towards the camera and keep running back till you arrive inside a secret room.

After entering the secret room, players will be able to pull out the Plant Head mask from the ground in REANIMAL.

All Mask Locations in REANIMAL Chapter 6

There are four masks in Chapter Six: Nobody Left Behind of REANIMAL that players can collect.

Fish Head Mask (10/18)

Players will arrive at the Secret Bunker right at the beginning of chapter six. When you’re heading outside the room to turn on the generator, make sure to push the crate with a fish on it down the railing.

Once you’ve completed the puzzle, you’ll exit the bunker and start descending flights of stairs till you arrive at the breach. Before interacting with the boat, keep going left on the beach to spot a Critter roaming around in the distance. The Critter was trapped in the box you just pushed while at the bunker.

After you’ve taken out the Critter, you’ll be able to pick up the Fish Head mask in REANIMAL.

Package Head Mask (11/18)

As players continue to move forward through the large building structures that were guarded by the sea monster (Brook Horse), they’ll arrive at a large derelict ship/tanker. Before heading to the beach to board the large ship, head to the right side of the area while facing the tanker, and you’ll spot a pathway blocked by mines. Use your harpoons to blow up the mines before entering.

Take the boat further down the path until you arrive at a beach area. Walk a little further up to the open containers, and you’ll find the Package Head mask on top of a wooden pallet.

Two Diving Helmets Mask (13/18)

After surviving the deep diving section and restoring the whale’s eye, both characters will take off their diving suits. Before you progress forward, make sure to pick both of the diving helmets back up. They both have distinct designs and are actually one of the better looking masks in REANIMAL.

All Mask Locations in REANIMAL Chapter 7

There are four masks in Chapter Seven: The Spoils of REANIMAL that players can collect.

Bush Head Mask (14/18)

As you’re making your way through the war-ridden streets in chapter seven, you’ll eventually arrive at the entrance to the trenches. Before dropping down into the pit, head right on the road to arrive at a red shutter that you can open up.

Inside the shutter, you’ll be able to grab the Bush Head mask on top of a brown suitcase.

Mine Head Mask (15/18)

As you’re making your way through the Trenches, you’ll move past three soldiers taking their own lives, two with pistols and one with a rifle. After you pass the horrific scene, you’ll move left through the trenches. Right before heading past the overhead bridge, turn left and shimmy through the small space in the Trenches.

Inside the room, you’ll find a ton of artillery, with the Mine Head mask sitting on the ground, right beside a lit candle.

Rabbit Head Mask (16/18)

As you’re moving further through the Trenches, you’ll arrive in an open area, and the camera will focus on a large soldier on top moving out of sight from the camera. There’s a crack in the trench wall to the left that you can enter through.

Inside the hidden area, you’ll find a rabbit shrine with the Rabbit Head mask sitting in the middle. To get this mask, you’ll need to light up the candle of five different shrines hidden throughout chapters one, three, four, six, and seven.

Amphibian (Frog) Head Mask (17/18)

After exiting the Trenches section, players will enter a derelict hospital. After entering the surgery room, you’ll spot the little space under the desk that you’ll be able to crouch and walk through.

Inside the hidden room, players will be able to pick up the Amphibian (frog) Head mask in REANIMAL inside a crate.

All Mask Locations in REANIMAL Chapter 8

There’s only one mask to collect in Chapter 8: The Watcher of REANIMAL.

Gas Head Mask (18/18)

After getting the key from the hanging soldiers, you’ll enter the next area with an oven lying on the ground. You’ll need to interact with the over to open it up. A Critter will jump out of it and enter the pipe leading back to the hanging soldiers’ room.

Return to the previous room and grab a weapon from the crate on the right. Shoot the Critter as soon as it stops moving to kill it, and grab the Gas Head mask.

Once you’ve acquired all 18 Masks, you’ll unlock the Behind the Mask trophy/achievement in REANIMAL.
