Lake Sanaru

After arriving at Lake Sanaru for the first time, you can spot a ship to your left that acts as an enemy base. You can clear it if you want, but to find the Master, you will need to head further up the road, past the first shrine. Once you reach the Lake Sanaru (North) Shrine, head west, following the path until you reach a Spirit Vein. This Spirit Vein will be inaccessible until you progress further into the main story during the main story mission “The Fall of Edo Castle” (Edo Period).

Lake Hamana

As you enter Lake Hamana, the Disaster at Lake Hamana myth will begin, where you have to find a way to calm down Daidara Bocchi. The solution to this lies inside Horie Castle, where you have to place a stone on top of a pedestal. Once you are done, you can fast travel to the Horie Castle: Outwork Shrine and head north to spot a path on your left that leads to the Master.

Iinoya

Inside Iinoya, fast travel to the Omomiji Junction Shrine and head west. When the path splits into two, one going north and one south, go down and east. This path leads to the Master’s location.

Futamata

From the Tealeaf Village Shrine, follow the main path that leads up to Futamata Castle, but stop before going left to the door that you have to open with a key during the main story. Instead, take the path on the right and go up to the building where you will find the final Master in this era.

Tips on Beating the Masters in Nioh 3

The Masters in Nioh 3 are similar to any challenging boss you might face. However, in the case of the Masters, you can delay fighting them until you have leveled up quite a lot and gathered better loot. If you are set on fighting them as soon as you reach the area, then there are a few things to keep in mind.

Firstly, as all of the Masters are humans and can be staggered easily, the Scampuss Soul Core is an excellent choice. This spawns two Scampusses that stay for quite some time, hitting the boss and interrupting their attacks.

Don’t forget to dispose of unwanted Soul Cores to earn Soul Fragments and upgrade your Scampuss Soul Core.

When it comes down to the build and fighting the Masters, your personal preferences play an important factor. However, if you are not confident in your skills to get close to the boss and deflect every attack, you can prioritize the Ninja style. The Ninja can feel very overpowered, mainly because of the use of Ninjutsu that keeps replenishing throughout the fight.

Try to invest more in the Magic stat so that more Yin Positions open up, allowing you to carry more Talismans.
