February 17 is Going to Be a Big Day for PS Plus Subscribers
This coming Tuesday, February 17 is shaping up to be a particularly busy day for PlayStation Plus subscribers who are signed up for the Extra and Premium tiers of the service. 2026 has already proven to be a busy year for PlayStation Plus subscribers, with more free games given away through the Essential tier than expected, with four that can actually be claimed right now.
The free PS Plus games for February 2026 are Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Undisputed. All four games will be free for PS Plus subscribers to claim until Monday, March 2, and they will be replaced by the March 2026 free games on Tuesday, March 3. The free games are the big selling point of the Essential tier of PS Plus, and they are available to those who are signed up for the Extra and Premium tiers as well. The next update for those tiers is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, and it’s set to be a doozy.
PlayStation Plus Price Increase Could Very Well Be in the Cards
There seem to be some subtle signs that Sony may soon resort to another PS Plus price hike to offset a growing issue with the PS5.
10 new games are coming to PS Plus on February 17, with nine of the games coming as part of the Extra tier and one game being added as part of the Premium tier. On the PS Plus Extra side of things, subscribers can look forward to Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Monster Hunter Stories, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Neva, Rugby 25, Season: A Letter to the Future, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, and Venba. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the best PS5 console exclusive games to date, and Neva is a gorgeous indie that earned widespread critical acclaim. Those two are the headliners when it comes to the new PS Plus Extra games for February 2026, but subscribers are encouraged to check out all the games being added to the service that day.
List of New PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for February 2026
- Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition (PS5)
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (PS5)
- Monster Hunter Stories (PS4)
- Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin (PS4)
- Neva (PS4/PS5)
- Rugby 25 (PS4/PS5)
- Season: A Letter to the Future (PS4/PS5)
- Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown (PS5)
- Venba (PS5)
Premium
- Disney Pixar Wall-E (PS4/PS5)
The lone PS Plus Premium game coming on February 17 is Disney Pixar Wall-E. For the uninitiated, Wall-E is a platformer based on the beloved 2008 Pixar film of the same name. Unlike the movie, the Wall-E video game earned mixed reviews, but it’s still worth checking out for the sake of nostalgia if nothing else.
The new games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium are just one reason why February 17 is going to be a super busy day for the service. Unfortunately, February 17 is also the day that PS Plus subscribers will have to say goodbye to another batch of titles. A total of nine games are leaving PS Plus that day, with Carto, Cult of the Lamb, New World: Aeternum, Rez Infinite, SaGa Frontier Remastered, Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition, Super Neptunia RPG, The Ascent, and WWE 2K25 all on their way out the door.
PS Plus Games Leaving in February 2026
- Carto
- Cult of the Lamb
- New World: Aeternum
- Rez Infinite
- SaGa Frontier Remastered
- Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition
- Super Neptunia RPG
- The Ascent
- WWE 2K25
It’s sad to see any of these games go, but the title that will likely sting the most is Cult of the Lamb. Cult of the Lamb is one of the highest-rated games currently available on PS Plus, and it just released new DLC, so it’s a real shame that it’s being removed from the service. Anyone interested in playing it or any of the other games leaving soon is running out of time to do so, but there’s still some time to at least try these games before potentially buying them as permanent additions to your digital library.
