PS Plus Confirms 13 Games Coming Soon, Including Day 1 Release
Sony used a part of its latest PlayStation State of Play event to highlight its PlayStation Plus subscription service, confirming new games on the way for the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers that are coming in the near future. Sony tends to stick to established patterns when it comes to revealing new batches of PlayStation Plus games, but it broke from tradition when it comes to the February 2026 PS Plus Extra and Premium games.
Everyone was expecting Sony to reveal the PS Plus Extras and Premium games for February 2026 this past Wednesday, February 11. However, the usual time that Sony makes its Extra and Premium announcement came and went without a peep. It was then assumed by many that Sony would be showcasing PS Plus at the February 2026 State of Play event, and as it turns out, that is exactly what happened. Sony used the event to reveal new games that are coming to PS Plus on Tuesday, February 17, as well as some other titles that are coming soon, but that fans will have to wait a little longer for.
PlayStation Plus Price Increase Could Very Well Be in the Cards
There seem to be some subtle signs that Sony may soon resort to another PS Plus price hike to offset a growing issue with the PS5.
Sony specifically highlighted four games at the State of Play, though a later announcement after the show revealed the full line-up of titles coming on February 17, bringing the total number of games announced to 13. The four games at the state of play were headlined by the previously-leaked Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PS5, giving subscribers of the Extra and Premium tiers the chance to play one of the highest-rated exclusive games on the platform at no additional cost. It was also confirmed that Big Walk would be making its way to the Essential tier, meaning that all PS Plus subscribers will get to play the co-op puzzler on day one of its release. And finally, it was confirmed that classic PSP fighting game Tekken: Dark Resurrection is going to be a part of the PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup for March 2026, while on-rails shooter Time Crisis is coming in May 2026, with motion controls supported.

After the show was over, Sony took the time to announce the new games coming to the Extra and Premium tiers as part of the February 2026 lineup. Besides Spider-Man 2, February 17 will also see Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition, Monster Hunter Stories, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Neva, Rugby 25, Season: A Letter to the Future, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, and Venba hit the Extra tier, while Disney Pixar Wall-E will be coming to the Premium tier.
Some of the new PS Plus games coming in February 2026 definitely seem strategically picked. The Monster Hunter Stories games are coming just as Capcom is releasing a brand-new Monster Hunter Stories game, so perhaps putting the earlier games on PS Plus will convince more people to go out and buy the new one. Plus, a new Neva game was announced at the show, and so it makes sense that the original is being added to the Extra tier of PS Plus.
There’s a lot coming to PS Plus on February 17, but subscribers should know that there are games leaving PS Plus that same day. Needless to say, subscribers should plan accordingly.
