By newsgame

Sony and Kojima Productions have revealed that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be making its debut on PC on March 19, 2026, and it’s coming with some features that players won’t want to miss out on. Death Stranding 2 was originally released on June 26, 2025, as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. While the first game also launched as a PlayStation exclusive, it eventually made its way to both PC and Xbox, leading many fans of the franchise to wonder when they would see Death Stranding 2 do the same.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was one of the highest-rated games of 2025, and it currently has a score of 90 on OpenCritic. In fact, Death Stranding 2 was even nominated for Game of the Year at 2025’s The Game Awards. Ultimately, the award went to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which set a new record at the award show for securing nine wins. Much like the first game, Death Stranding 2 features an innovative strand system that allows people to influence the worlds of fellow players. For instance, if a player builds a zipline in their world, it may appear in another player’s game, offering them some assistance without direct interaction. It’s a fairly unique feature that offers players an experience that isn’t easily replicated.

With the recent announcement that Death Stranding 2 will be coming to PC, many gamers are wondering when they might see the title come to Xbox. While the first game was also originally released as a PlayStation exclusive, Death Stranding was eventually brought to Xbox in 2024, five years after its initial debut. There’s no way of knowing if or when Death Stranding 2 will come to Xbox, but many players are hopeful that they’ll be able to experience both titles on Microsoft’s consoles one day.

Hideo Kojima recently shared his unconventional thoughts on AI, stating that the technology isn’t particularly knowledgeable at the moment and needs to learn more. Kojima went on to say that he would like to “make a game played in weightlessness and a game that delights an AI.” His vision involves making a game with the ability to train AI, honing the technology in a way that improves its effectiveness. According to Kojima, the training might take somewhere between five and ten years, with the hopes that AI would then be able to “break into many different worlds.” Kojima’s remarks have received some mixed reactions, as many people within the gaming community disapprove of using AI in development, particularly generative AI. However, some people did note that Kojima’s idea comes with more nuance than simply drawing a hard line in the sand. There’s no way of knowing if Kojima will ever execute this idea, as the creator has many different projects in the works, but it seems as if he does have a unique vision for the technology.
