How Does Martial Arts Level Work in Where Winds Meet?
The Martial Arts Level (MAL) is a measure of how powerful our character is in Where Winds Meet, and to calculate it, the game uses the overall gear score levels determined by the equipment, the Martial Arts players have learned, equipped, and leveled up, as well as other aptitudes such as Inner Path passives, Mystic Arts, and Melodies Passives. It also gets boosted by Enhancement and Tuning levels (weapons) and overall Stat Gains from the character, professions, and other sources (For example: Set Bonuses).
Each time players level up their characters, they will gain a set amount of Martial Arts Level, and each time players level up their Gear, add new Passives, unlock new Inner Path levels, or progress any of the Professions, they will gain a bonus to Martial Arts Level.
It is important to mention that in Solo Mode, each time players increase their Martial Arts Level, enemies will remain unchanged. But, this doesn’t apply to the Solo Mode Level or Online Mode Levels, which will upgrade the difficulty Tier of all World Enemies each time players undergo a breakthrough.
Best Starting Weapons in Where Winds Meet
You can choose one of four starting weapons in Where Winds Meet, and they all have very different roles and movesets.
Every time players break through a Level Cap Tier, they will be given a full set of the next Tier, increasing their overall gearscore. Same with Martial Arts and Mystic Arts Level Breakthroughs, which consume a lot of mats but grant a +100/+150 Extra Bonus to the MAL per level.
How to Use The Develop & Quick Enhance Features in Where Winds Meet
The Develop and Quick Enhance Features are a well-hidden secret that every player should know how to use in order to draw out the maximum potential of their characters in Where Winds Meet. The Develop Feature is a menu that summarizes every upgrade players can go through (Except Online and Solo Mode Levels), and also hosts a special feature that allows players to fast upgrade their characters with a few clicks.
- To access this feature, open the Develop Menu by hitting ‘H’
- Navigate to the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Press ‘Quick Upgrade’ or ‘Quick Enhance’ (Changes depending on the selected language).
- The new menu will display every upgradable piece of Gear, Martial Arts, Mystic Arts, or Inner Path passive available for upgrade.
