Black Ops 7 Is Making a Major Change to Endgame

By newsgame

Developer Treyarch Studios has announced it will be making Endgame accessible to all Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 players from Friday, November 21, regardless of whether or not they have completed the Co-Op Campaign. To compensate those who have already completed Call of Duty: Black Ops 7‘s Campaign and unlocked Endgame, Treyarch says it will be giving players plenty of Double XP tokens and Perkaholic Gobblegums to use in Multiplayer and Zombies.

Unlike past entries in the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 keeps the action going with Endgame, a new “shared” experience that allows players to continue leveling up with endless replayability in mind. The mode takes place on Avalon and is solely PvE with a total of 32 players per lobby. Avalon is split into four zones, similar to Modern Warfare 3‘s Zombies, with each zone having its own recommended combat rating. Players customize their loadout, drop in, complete missions, and then exfil. All while earning XP and leveling up weapons that can then be taken into Multiplayer or Zombies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Releases New Update Patch Notes

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 isn’t even a week old yet, but it’s just received its fourth update, aiming to tackle some bugs plaguing all game modes.

Black Ops 7 Endgame Will Soon Be Accessible to Everyone

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7‘s new Endgame experience was previously only accessible to those who had completed the Co-Op Campaign, but that’s all about to change. On Friday, November 21, exactly one week after the game’s launch, all Black Ops 7 players will be able to access Endgame, even if they haven’t completed the Campaign. In a new post on Twitter, developer Treyarch Studios said it has “seen an awesome response to Endgame from players who’ve already been dropping in.” Anybody who completes the Co-Op Campaign and unlocks Endgame before November 21 will receive three 1-hour Double Level XP tokens, three 1-hour Double Weapon XP tokens, three 1-hour Double Battle Pass XP tokens, and three Perkaholic Gobblegums.

Treyarch made some big changes to this year’s Campaign, not only allowing players to team up with up to three friends, but also introducing global progression for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. For the first time ever, players can earn XP, level up their weapons, unlock camos, and complete challenges while playing the Campaign. This progression is shared between Multiplayer, Zombies, and soon to be Warzone with the launch of Season 1 later this year.

Unfortunately, despite new features and a spin on the traditional formula, Black Ops 7‘s Co-Op Campaign hasn’t been well-received. Some fans have criticized gameplay elements, such as machete killstreaks and giant bosses, but most are upset about the mode’s always-online requirement. Unlike past instalments, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7‘s Campaign requires a constant internet connection and can even kick players for inactivity. On top of this, it doesn’t allow players to pause the game. These questionable elements have led to extremely poor user reviews for Black Ops 7.
