Boosters are essential to the loadout of every Helldivers in Helldivers 2. Boosters are equipped alongside Stratagems and act as a passive buff that everyone on the squad gets. With a 4-player squad, everyone can equip a Booster that can greatly impact the strength of everyone against the anti-democratic forces of Terminids, Automatons, and Illuminate.
With a multitude of Warbonds to purchase and Boosters to collect, players new and old might be overwhelmed by what each of them does, and misguided in what they should use them for. As such, we’ve listed the best Boosters in Helldivers 2 and compiled them in a handy Booster Tier List so you know where each of them ranks best to spread democracy.

Helldivers 2 Booster Tier List
These Boosters have been ranked based on the 6.0.1 game version of Helldivers 2. All Boosters have been ranked based on their value, utility, and effectiveness across all missions and enemy types:
Booster |
Why? |
|---|---|---|
S Tier |
Hellpod Space Optimization |
You can drop from your Hellpod with full magazines, full Stims, and full grenades. It’s great to avoid using Resupplies or scrounging from ground supplies, but only if your team is dying quite a lot. |
Vitality Enhancement |
Provides a constant damage reduction modifier, ensuring that your armor can take more hits before you die. It also slows the effects of bleeding, burning, and other elements to ensure you have enough time to Stim and heal through the pain. |
Muscle Enhancement |
Difficult terrain can slow your movement speed, so this Booster is great for ensuring water, tall grass, snow, explosive plants, and other obstacles don’t slow you down. |
Stamina Enhancement |
Having an increase in stamina capacity and recovery ensures you can run towards or away from enemies without fearing a depletion of stamina that could otherwise get you killed. |
A Tier |
Experimental Infusion |
Stims can increase movement speed and provide greater damage reduction, which is great when you’re in a tight spot against enemies and need to reposition or survive. However, you only have a limited amount of stims, and too many enemies surrounding you will still get you killed. |
Sample Scanner |
A 15% chance to get double Samples upon pickup is great for trying to farm Samples for your ship upgrades. |
Concealed Insertion |
Any Hellpod that drops, whether it’s a Helldiver or Stratagem, deploys a smokescreen on impact, which allows you to get away from enemies safely while they remain confused and unable to see you through teh obscured cloud. |
B Tier |
Dead Sprint |
Helldivers can now sprint when they have no stamina, but it will drain their health. The health drain is minor, and you can’t actually die from it, but it’s still annoying to dip into your health instead of just jogging. |
Armed Resupply Pods |
A turret is added to the top of the Resupply Stratagem, which is quite useful for defensive missions where you want to resupply and have an extra automated gun to join your turrets for more slaughter. |
Sample Extricator |
The ability to randomly generate up to 10 more Common Samples is rather nice for players struggling to upgrade their ship, so it’s great for beginners and veterans still working on their upgrades. |
C Tier |
UAV Recon Booster |
Increase the radar distance by 50% to increase scanning range on the map for showing enemy patrols and POIs. It’s only semi-decent for stealth to avoid patrols, but even then, it’s not worth being glued to the map. |
Expert Extraction Pilot |
This reduction doesn’t help, as some teammates might be far from Extraction and need the extra time to get there before being abandoned. It’s only good for speedrunning and ensuring samples are extracted safely. |
Increased Reinforcement Budget |
Just +1 Reinforcement per Helldiver isn’t going to help, and if you’re running out of lives to the point where this Booster is essential, then you should just lower the difficulty. |
Flexible Reinforcement Budget |
This Booster lowers the Reinforcement timer to 90 seconds instead of 120 seconds, and that 30 seconds isn’t going to help when you’re already out of lives and in desperate need for more. |
Motivational Shocks |
This is a far weaker version of Muscle Enhancements, and it only really stops you from getting slowed from Terminid acid attacks and friendly stun attacks. |
Firebomb Hellpods |
When a Hellpod from a Helldiver or Stratagem drops, fire surrounds it, which not only traps the Hellpod’s goodies but also deals hardly any fire damage to enemies that aren’t going to the Hellpod anyway. |
Stun Pods |
All dropped Hellpods for Divers and Stratagems now have a shock effect around them, which will stun the player more than it will stun the enemies that it’s designed for. |
Localization Confusion |
All this Booster does is slow the rate at which enemy patrols randomly spawn. This means that enemies are still present at objectives and can come through reinforcements, thus making this booster pretty pointless. |
