How to Power Wuling Base in Arknights Endfield
Securing a steady power source is the first step to growing a factory in Arknights Endfield. The game will hold your hand through the process when you’re first starting out in Valley IV, but once you reach Wuling and beyond, you’ll be left to figure things out for yourself.
The thing about powering the Wuling AIC in Endfield is that you won’t have access to the same raw materials needed to make the batteries powering your Valley factory, which means you’ll have to find some other way. Thankfully, Endfield has a handy feature for transferring materials from base to base, but if you don’t want to (or cannot) use that system for any reason at all, you still have some alternatives to consider.
All Outposts in Arknights Endfield
Outposts in Endfield may be small, but they’re far from insignificant.
How to Power the Wuling Base in Arknights Endfield
When it comes to juicing up your Wuling AIC, you have three options:
- Power Thermal Banks with Originium ore
- Use Metastorage Transfer to receive excess batteries from Valley IV
- Create a Xiranite Battery production line
Originium Power
Using Originium Ore is the easiest (albeit the least efficient) way to power up your Wuling factory in Endfield. The wilderness surrounding Wuling City and the Qingbo Stockade have plenty of Originium ore beds for you to mine, and they’re more than enough to give your factory the energy it needs for basic operations.
To use Originium Ore as a power source, simply build a couple of Thermal Banks near your PAC/Sub-PAC Core, then select Originium Ore in your Core’s output ports. Connect the ports to your Thermal Banks, and you’ll get a small boost to your base’s maximum power capacity for every Thermal Bank you feed with Originium Ore. This won’t be as efficient as a basic battery setup in Valley IV, but it’s something.
Regional Resource Transfer (Metastorage)
The Metastorage Transfer feature in Endfield only becomes available once you reach level 12 in a region’s Development Level. Before you can start sending your extra batteries from Valley IV to Wuling, you’ll first need to fully level the former up completely by doing Outpost quests, upgrading resource stations (such as Recycling Stations), placing mining rigs on mineral beds, and so on.
Once you grow Valley IV to level 12, you’ll be able to use the Metastorage Transfer feature to teleport batteries to your Wuling AIC depot. However, items will transfer at the turn of every hour, and you can only transfer a limited amount of batteries per batch. This method is far from sustainable, and it’s best used for emergencies.
Xiranite Battery Production
Producing Wuling Batteries is the best way to maintain a constant power supply for your Wuling factory in Endfield, but it is also the most costly and most time-consuming. You’ll need to kickstart your factory with enough power to support a Xiranite production line as well as a few Dense Originium Powder chains.
However, before you can even think about building a Xiranite power plant, you’ll need to expand your Wuling AIC core area first, and to do that, you’ll need Wuling Stock Bills. Rake in some money either by creating a smaller production line for crafting and selling goods, or completing some observation commissions via the Regional Development screen.
