Black Ops 3: Zetsubou No Shima Main Easter Egg Guide (2026)

Easily complete the Zetsubou No Shima main easter egg quest thanks to this step-by-step guide for Black Ops 3 Zombies.

Step 1: Turn on the Power

The first step for the Gorod Krovi easter egg involves turning on the power. This is easily achieved simply by navigating through the Department Store outside of spawn, and then following either path towards the Dragon Command, where the power switch can be located just to the left of SOPHIA.

Step 2: Acquire Code Cylinders & Network Circuits for Pack-a-Punch

Now that the power is on, you can kill zombies until one of them drops a Code Cylinder, which will flash green like a power-up. Upon picking up the Code Cylinder, you will need to take it to the designated area, which will always be in this order:

  • Dragon Command
  • Supply Depot
  • Armory

With the Code Cylinder, interact with the terminal to summon a Groph Module. You will then need to look to the sky to find the green beam of light. Run to the green beam of light and defend the Groph Module by killing zombies until the Groph Module opens and allows you to pick up the Network Circuit. This must be repeated a total of 3 times, so kill zombies, grab a Code Cylinder, and deposit it at the next locations.

Now that you have all 3 Network Circuits, head to the bunker’s underground area beneath the Infirmary and Armory to place them into the computer terminal in the middle of the room. Now, you can summon a Dragon in the Dragon Command, Supply Depot, or Armory, and then ride it to the Pack-a-Punch room.

Feel free to go to Pack-a-Punch, but do not grab the Crystal to start the Dragon Strike lockdown just yet. Wait for this in the last half of Step 4.

Step 3: Obtain the Guard of Fafnir (Dragon Shield)

All Dragon Shield Part Locations in Gorod Krovi

The Dragon Shield is essential for Gorod Krovi, not just for protection, but for a step later used in the easter egg. There are 9 potential spawns for the shields’ 3 parts, which we’ll showcase below:

Dragon Shield Part #1 Locations

  • On a chair by Jugger-Nog in the upper floors of the Department Store
  • Outside the Jugger-Nog room on a crate by a crashed truck
  • On a shelf in the operations bunker, below the Armory and Infirmary

Dragon Shield Part #2 Locations

  • On the ground between two small boxes from the Infirmary to the operations bunker
  • On the bunk beds before the stairs to the Infirmary’s upper floor
  • On a wall to the left of Stamin-Up in the Infirmary

Dragon Shield Part #3 Locations

  • On a wall next to Der Wunderfizz in the lower area of the Armory
  • On a wall to the right of the train cart that leads from the Armory to the Supply Depot
  • To the right of the Bridge that leads from the Armory to the Infirmary

With all 3 parts located, the Dragon Shield can now be built at the crafting table in the operation bunker.

Step 4: Acquire the Dragon Egg and Get the Gauntlet of Siegfried

Enter the Pack-a-Punch area by flying on a Dragon. Once here, enter the basement area, where, before the sewer grate to fast travel to spawn, you can look up to the rafters to see a Dragon Egg. With any gun, shoot the Dragon Egg, and when it falls, pick it up.

With the Dragon Egg, return to the outside Dragon Command and place the Dragon Egg in a nest just outside the stairs. Now, you will need to wait for a dragon to randomly arrive and set fire to the egg. After, you can wait around for 2 rounds for the Dragon Egg to cool, where you can then pick it up again.

napalm zombies

After picking up the Dragon Egg, you must kill 10 Napalm Zombies. This is achieved by allowing a Dragon to set fire to a horde of zombies. You can tell your progress has completed by selecting the Leaderboard button and viewing the Dragon Egg on the bottom right.

The next step for the Dragon Egg is to get 10 penetrating kills. This is easily achieved with the MG-42, which can be found in the Pack-a-Punch bunker’s upstairs area. At this point, you’ll want to grab the Crystal in the Pack-a-Punch room to begin a 4-phase lockdown. During this lockdown, use the MG-42 to get 10 kills.

The final kill challenge for the Dragon Egg requires 10 melee kills, which is made possible through the Fireball attack of the Dragon Shield. This is easily achieved during the lockdown you’re still in. If you run out of shield charges, use a shield bash, or a Bowie Knife. After the lockdown ends, grab the Crystal to acquire the Dragon Strike Command.

In the basement of the Pack-a-Punch room, you can now place the Dragon Egg into an Incubator. This will start a mini-lockdown where you must kill zombies to proceed, along with Valkyries. It’s important at this step that you let the Valkyrie zap the generator to the right of the Incubator, which will turn it on and see it blow air. Failing to do so does not matter, but it saves you from having to bring a Valkyrie here in later rounds.

After the lockdown has ended, proceed to the next round so you can pick up the Dragon Egg. Now, return to the spawn area, where you can interact with the bottom medal on one of the gravestones to acquire the Gauntlet of Siegfried.

Step 5: Solve the Valve Puzzle for the Pink Cylinder

After having a Valkyrie zap the generator in the basement of the Pack-a-Punch room, 6 valves will now have power around the map. These valves are only active for 5 minutes, but they will turn back on next round if you interact with the generator in the basement of Pack-a-Punch. Here’s where you can find each valve:

  • Department Store — On the top floor, to the right of the staircase
  • Armory — Opposite the Bridge on the top floor
  • Infirmary — On the ground floor, in the corner by some bunk beds
  • Dragon Command – Up the stairs, opposite SOPHIA on the right
  • Supply Depot — Underneath the balcony on the ground floor
  • Tank Factory — On the ground floor, opposite the zombie barrier

The objective is to find the valve with a green light and connect it to the valve with a pink cylinder trapped in the chamber by changing the values across all valves between 1, 2, and 3. This step is extremely confusing, but the site, ApothiKeeper, has created a valve puzzle solution which you can find here. Simply enter the green light valve location and the pink cylinder valve location, and it will show you what values on the other valves you need to change.

With the valve puzzle solved, head to the pink cylinder valve and pick it up. You will need to return this item to SOPHIA in the Dragon Command. SOPHIA now asks for a password on the left of her terminals. The password is always KRONOS, and you can obtain it by shooting each row of letters.

Optional Step: Get the Dragon Wings

the dragon wings

The Dragon Wings are essential for Gorod Krovi. Not only will they allow you to teleport to the Pack-a-Punch room instantly, but they also give you a 30% resistance to explosive and fire damage. To get the Dragon Wings, fly a dragon to Pack-a-Punch from the Dragon Command, Supply Depot, and Tank Factory, then acquire the Gauntlet of Siegfried. Afterwards, head to the top floor of the Department Store, and you’ll be able to equip the Dragon Wings found on a mannequin in the left corner.

Step 6: Recover All 6 Trophies

There are 6 trophies scattered around Gorod Krovi that you will need to collect. We’ve listed where you can find each of them below:

Trophy #1 — Dragon Command

Outside of Dragon Command, you can look up to find a giant mural of Russian soldiers. Aim your gun to the right, and you’ll see that one soldier is holding a trophy. You can shoot the trophy, and it will drop on the rumble, which then allows you to pick it up.

Trophy #2 — Supply Depot

In the outside area of the Supply Depot, you will find a green puddle. Activate your Dragon Strike inside the puddle, and when the strike ends, you will find another trophy inside.

Trophy #3 — Supply Depot

Enter the Supply Depot, where on the right wall, you can activate the Gigant Eye Beam Trap. Once the Eye Beam Trap has concluded, you can approach the area where the Eye Beam was firing to find a safe that’s now been opened, which reveals yet another trophy.

Trophy #4 — Tank Factory

Inside the Tank Factory, you can find an open pipe opposite the valve and to the left of a zombie barrier. Equip the Dragon Shield, and use a Fireblast attack into the pipe. Now, take the stairs closest to the pipe and in the room, to the left of Double Tap, you will find another trophy.

Trophy #5 — Operations Bunker

Below the Infirmary and the Armory, you will find the operations bunker. Inside, there is a wall safe that can be punched open with the Gauntlet of Siegfried. To begin, fire your dragon with L2/LT, and then use a 115 melee strike on the safe (R3), which will cause you to dash forward and punch, opening the safe to reveal another trophy.

Trophy #6 — Pack-a-Punch Room

Inside the basement of the Pack-a-Punch room, you can find the open sewer that takes you back to spawn. During this underwater segment, you will find a red button that can be shot and turned green. If you managed to hit the button in the sewer, then return to the Pack-a-Punch room, where on the ground floor, you will find a spewing toilet holding a trophy.

With all trophies acquired, return to Dragon Command, where opposite SOPHIA, you can interact with the green map terminal to place all the trophies.

Step 7: Complete All Trophy Challenges

With all trophies now placed, interact with the green button at the same terminal where you placed the trophies, and one of the trophies will be randomly selected. There are 6 challenges in total, and they will begin in a random order. We’ve listed them all for you from left to right:

Gersh Trophy Challenge

The first trophy is the Gersh challenge. To begin, listen closely for a strange Russian voice, and follow it until you discover a beam of yellow light traveling around the map. You need to repeatedly shoot the yellow light until it reveals more dialogue. Chase it, and shoot it again until it talks with you, and agrees to return to Dragon Command. Once back at Dragon Command, watch it get sucked up to end the challenge.

Nuke Trophy Challenge

The 2nd trophy, the bomb, is the most dangerous. Failing this step will result in your death. When this trophy is highlighted, watch the screen carefully and make note of what parts of the map flash green in a sequence. After discovering your sequence, you need to run around the map and interact with all 6 bombs to defuse them in the order shown. Running out of time or interacting with them out of sequence results in a deadly explosion that you will not survive. Here’s where to find each bomb:

  • Department Store — Under the stairs on the ground floor
  • Infirmary — Under the stairs on a brick pillar that leads to the Operations Bunker
  • Armory — On a wall next to the Wunderfizz on the way to the Supply Depot
  • Dragon Control — On the upper floor, to the left
  • Supply Depot — On the ground floor, in the right room beside the map of Stalingrad
  • Tank Factory — Near the Wunderfizz and GobbleGum Machine

Mangler Trophy Challenge

If the trophy selected is the third one, the Mangler, then you will need to explore the map and locate the friendly green-eyed Mangler. The friendly Mangler is located at the Tank Factory. Your mission is to escort him back to Dragon Command, but be careful, as he will still try to kill you, and going too far away from the Mangler will cause him run away to his death. You can try to shoot off his arm cannon to enrage him so he runs after you, but be careful of his health.

Valkyrie Trophy Challenge

If the highlighted trophy is the 4th one, the Valkyrie, then you will need to escort a friendly Valkyrie back to Dragon Command. You can find the friendly Valkyrie in Belinski Square, the spawn area of the map. This Valkyrie has green eyes and 1HP, so make sure you’re not using Electric Cherry or area-of-effect weapons near it, or it will die, and you will have to try next round.

Groph Module Challenge

If the trophy selected is the last one, then it’s the Groph Module challenge. Look to the sky for a glowing green light, as a Groph Module is about to land in the map, but somewhere out of bounds. You will need to use weapons to defend the Groph Module from a distance, and after killing enough zombies, it will open up. To get the Cargo inside, use the Gauntlet of Siegfried’s LT/L2 attack to send out the dragon, who will drop the Cargo in front of you. This can now be returned to SOPHIA.

Group 935 Trophy Challenge

This trophy is the 5th one, but it will always be the last challenge of the 6. When this trophy is selected, you must take the keycard that appears in front of the trophies and return to the Pack-a-Punch room, where, on the ground floor, you will find a red terminal. Interact with the terminal to begin a lockdown against Manglers.

You must wait for the download progress to conclude, then take the Keycard from the terminal, and give it to SOPHIA.

Step 8: Give Nikolai the Power Core and Prepare for the Boss Fight

Once all the trophy challenges have been completed, return to SOPHIA, who will then allow you to pick up the Power Cores. With the Power Cores, return to the spawn area and look out to Belenski Square, where Nikolai’s mech is located. Use the Gauntlet of Siegfried’s LT/L2 attack to send out the baby dragon, who will carry the Power Cores to Nikolai.

Once Nikolai has the Power Cores (indicated by a voice line from Nikolai), return to SOPHIA, who will then fly away and reveal a sewer grate. When you’re ready for the boss fight, stand and interact with the sewer grate. However, we strongly advise the GKZ-45 Mk3 (Ray Gun Mark 3) and the L4 Siege, as these deal absurd damage to zombies and both bosses. You should also take Idle Eyes or In Plain Sight to freeze the zombies and the boss while you damage them.

After entering the sewer grate where SOPHIA was once stationed, you will enter the boss arena. To begin the boss fight, interact with the green button in the center of the arena.

Step 9: Defeat the Dragon

The first boss fight of Gorod Krovi is the dragon, and it’s fairly easy to kill. Simply run around with your Dragon Shield equipped to negate all fire damage, and then wait for Nikolai to shoot a harpoon at the dragon, which will expose a glowing orange weakspot. Shoot the weakspot until the dragon flies away, and repeat for a total of 3 times until the dragon dies.

Step 10: Defeat Nikolai

The final step of the Gorod Krovi easter egg will have you fight against Nikolai in a mech suit. If you have Idle Eyes or In Plain Sight, now is the time to use them, as Nikolai will just stand still and allow you to kill him during the GobbleGum’s usage. However, if you don’t have Gums, then you will need to avoid his stomps, cannons, and explosives by running around.

To damage Nikolai, shoot the glowing lights on his mech suit. There are two on the chest, 2 on the head, and a final core piece once the other 4 are destroyed. They only take a few shots, and once they’re destroyed, a cutscene will play and the easter egg will be completed.

To ensure progress has saved in the easter egg, progress another round. You can also quit the game by closing the application to keep easter egg progress and preserve your GobbleGums.
