ARC Raiders Newest Map Is a Big Hit With Players
ARC Raiders developer Embark Studios revealed new player stats following the launch of its North Line update, highlighting some very surprising data. Since it’s release back in October, ARC Raiders has been a massive success for developer Embark Studios, breaking plenty of concurrent player records in the process.
Looking to keep the momentum going, Embark Studios released a major free update to ARC Raiders called the North Line. The update brought with it two new ARC enemies in the Matriarch and Shredder, new energy-based weapons to find, and it kicked off a new community event to unlock the new Stella Montis map. As expected, the map was unlocked in less than 24 hours by the ARC Raiders community, and it has already been a big hit with players, a fact that is now backed up by actual data.
ARC Raiders Just Got Snubbed for a Big Game Award
Many of ARC Raiders’ biggest fans likely expected it to be nominated for one Game Award, but it was just snubbed for what initially seemed obvious.
ARC Raiders Stella Montis Map Is Very Popular
After a week of the North Line update being available in ARC Raiders, Embark Studios gave fans a bit of insight into some of the data and player behaviors within the game. In terms of the Stella Montis map itself, it has been visited over 25 million times in just a week, a staggering number and one that proves how popular the location is. Unlike other map locations, Stella Montis is takes place in a large indoor facility, with multiple floors that provide plenty of verticality.
Players were eager to jump into the new map as soon as possible after ARC Raiders kicked off its community event. The Breaking New Ground unlock event in ARC Raiders even had to be adjusted because players were donating too quickly. As it stands, one generous raider was able to donate over 24,000 resources to the cause, easily hitting their Merits limit and still pushing forward to help the playerbase.
In terms of player behavior, Embark also confirmed how deadly the new enemy ARCs can be. The Shredder has already knocked down 2.2 million players, while players have been able to turn the tables on The Matriarch 26,923 times so far. The new and surprisingly strong Deadline mine has been able to take down even the strongest ARC enemies, though it can also be a hazard as 37,218 players have been downed by it as well. Finally, Embark shared that the Volcanic Rock, which is literally just a rock, has somehow been the cause of 117 raiders downing themselves.
With the North Line being a big hit for Embark Studios, the pressure only rises as fans eagerly anticipate what’s next. Thankfully, the wait appears to be on the shorter side, as the ARC Raiders 2025 content roadmap confirmed that the Cold Snap update hits in December. In addition to the Snowfall map condition, the December update opens the Expedition departure window, adds new quests and a Raider Deck, while also kicking off the Flickering Flames event.
