New PS5 Co-Op Games Releasing in February 2026
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and it’s safe to say that there are many PlayStation 5 gamers looking for co-op games to play with their significant other. There are plenty of fantastic PS5 co-op games that are already readily available to purchase, but as it turns out, there are also some new ones that will be released in February. Two of these co-op games will be available just in time for Valentine’s Day, while the other two are releasing a little later in the month.
Since the PlayStation 5 launched in 2020, it has built an impressive library of co-op games. The PS5’s backward compatibility with the PS4 means that nearly every co-op game that was released for that console can be played on the new one, plus there have been multiple PS5-only co-op games released as well. Some of the PS5 co-op games support both local and online play, while others only support one or the other. Regardless, there are plenty of co-op options for PS5 gamers to choose from, with more soon to be added to the pile.
I’m Obsessed With This Local Co-op PS5 Game And You Absolutely Have to Play It
A relatively new local co-op game has become my latest obsession on PS5, and I can’t recommend it enough.
The first new co-op game coming to PS5 in February will hit the console on February 6 in the form of Nioh 3. Nioh 3 features two different co-op modes that should be familiar to fans of Soulslike games, with one allowing players to summon in help against bosses, not unlike FromSoftware’s various titles. A separate co-op mode allows players to explore Nioh 3‘s world together. Nioh 3 features larger areas than its predecessors, and these dangerous locales should be a lot easier to tackle with a friend. Nioh 3‘s co-op features are online-only, so PS5 gamers should keep that in mind.
New PS5 Co-Op Games Releasing in February 2026
- Nioh 3 – February 6
- Reanimal – February 13
- Towerborne – February 26
- Tales of Berseria Remastered – February 27
Luckily, the new PS5 co-op game releasing right after Nioh 3 supports both local and online co-op. Reanimal is the next game from Tarsier Studios, the developer behind the Little Nightmares games. Reanimal looks like it will carry on Little Nightmares‘ legacy, offering a similar horror/puzzle platformer experience, but this time with a co-op focus. Reanimal supports both local and online co-op, and with its release date landing on February 13, right before Valentine’s Day, it should make for one of the more exciting new PS5 co-op games launching soon.
Towards the end of the month, PS5 gamers can look forward to playing Towerborne. Developed by The Banner Saga studio Stoic, Towerborne is a beat ’em up/action-RPG that has been relatively well-received since its 2024 early access launch. Supporting both local and online co-op, Towerborne will mark yet another Xbox-published game making its debut on PS5.
Finally, the month will end with the release of Tales of Berseria Remastered. Many of the Tales of… games support local co-op play, where a second player can participate in the game’s action-RPG battles, and Tales of Berseria is no different. The remastered version of the game will come with various improvements to help it better meet modern standards, and franchise fans can look forward to checking it out on PS5 come February 27.
While these four games are the big co-op games releasing for PS5 in February 2026, there are other notable titles hitting Sony’s platform soon. In fact, PS5 has at least eight big games releasing in February 2026, with Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, High on Life 2, Avowed, and Resident Evil Requiem all on deck for the month. Needless to say, February 2026 should prove to be a busy month for PS5 gamers.
