Genshin Impact Version 6.2 Livestream Date & Time Revealed
Genshin Impact has set November 21, 2025, as the date for its next Special Program Announcement, during which players will be able to see a detailed preview of Version 6.2 on YouTube and Twitch. While datamining has revealed a decent amount of information related to Version 6.2, there are still a few question marks left unanswered. Genshin Impact is introducing a major overhaul to Mondstadt characters in Version 6.2, with Albedo, Venti, Klee, Mona, Razor, Sucrose, and Fischl all receiving buffs to their ability kit. The livestream will be a chance for the developers to explain their vision for the overhaul and potentially tease any future plans to update other members of the playable cast.
While Version 6.2 won’t come with a new map expansion in Genshin Impact, it will introduce the next chapter of the Song of the Welkin Moon, as well as a Story Quest for Durin. Having made his debut in Version 6.1, Durin is expected to join the playable cast in the upcoming patch as a 5-Star Pyro Sword character. Durin can be played as an on-field driver for Vaporize and Melt reactions, but many fans are more excited about his off-field skills. By switching into an alternate form, Durin can fulfill the role of a support character for Overload, Burning, Swirl, and Crystallize teams, which makes him an ideal teammate for hypercarries such as Arlecchino or Kinich.

Genshin Impact: Version 6.2 Special Program Announcement
The livestream will take place on the official Twitch and YouTube channels for Genshin Impact on November 21, 2025, at 7:00 AM (UTC-5), and will likely feature an official look at Durin’s gameplay. An important thing to keep in mind is that Durin in Genshin Impact is a Hexerei character. When two Hexerei characters are paired up in a team, they provide mutual buffs to each other. As of Version 6.2, Hexerei characters include Durin and the aforementioned Mondstadters: Venti, Mona, Klee, Albedo, Sucrose, Razor, and Fischl.
The Special Program Announcement is also expected to confirm the Event Banners for Version 6.2 of Genshin Impact, with current datamining pointing towards Durin, Venti, Xilonen, and Varesa being its featured 5-Stars. Version 6.2 will mark the gameplay debut of Jahoda as a 4-Star Anemo Bow character, with her ability kit primarily built for healing in Lunar Reaction teams. Though the livestream will reveal the exact order of Event Banners for Version 6.2, Jahoda is expected to debut alongside Durin in the first half.
One other thing to keep an eye out for is the possibility of a Mondstadt Chronicled Banner in Genshin Impact. Given that it was last featured in Version 4.5, a Mondstadt Chronicled Banner is long overdue, and given the introduction of the Hexerei buffs, Version 6.2 may be an ideal time for its return. Version 6.2 is set to release on December 3, 2025.
