The team with Shadow Milk, Prune Juice, Black Sapphire, Candy Apple, and Dark Cacao works really well to beat the Red Velvet Dragon in Cookie Run Kingdom. That’s because your primary damage comes from Poison here, mostly from Prune Juice and Black Sapphire, and since it’s not considered direct damage, your team won’t be hurt in return by the boss’s passive while attacking.

Candy Apple shields your team, boosts their Poison attacks, and lowers the boss’s attack and defense (which is super important for dealing heavy damage since he has a ton of defense). Together with Black Sapphire, she triggers Shadow Milk’s Deceitful Trio passive, making the Poison team even stronger.

If you don’t have Shadow Milk Cookie yet, you can use the Eternal Sugar and Fire Spirit Build RVD build instead. It can chip away a significant portion of the boss’s HP, and with the right strategy, each round can deal billions of damage to it.

In this setup, Eternal Sugar Cookie and Black Sapphire Cookie handle the Poison damage, similar to The Poison Squad build, while Fire Spirit Cookie adds burn, which is indirect and bypasses the dragon’s damage reflection.

Mystic Flour Cookie protects the team by constantly restoring their health while the boss and its puppets attack. Her ultimate also gives temporary damage resistance. Rebel Cookie, despite having a Wind element that counts as direct damage, brings useful abilities: he takes the lead, reduces the dragon’s defense by up to 315.4%, and buffs allies with HP shields and critical boosts, making him a valuable part of the team.
