Xbox Game Pass Adds Its 18th and Final Game of January 2026

MySims: Cozy Bundle and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 have joined the Xbox Game Pass library. Available across multiple subscription tiers, the two titles mark the 17th and 18th additions to the service this month, rounding out the Xbox Game Pass January 2026 lineup.

Microsoft’s subscription service began the year quietly, adding just six new titles in the first half of January. Activity then accelerated with both scheduled and unexpected releases. One example of the latter arrived on January 23, when The Sims 1 and 2 were shadow dropped on Xbox Game Pass.

The 14th new title to join Xbox Game Pass in January 2026 is a 2023 game with an impressive 89 critic score and ‘Very Positive’ user reviews.

Space Marine 2 and MySims Round Out Xbox Game Pass January 2026 Wave 2 Lineup

Microsoft’s subscription library has now expanded yet again, adding Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and MySims: Cozy Bundle on Thursday, January 29. As is always the case with EA Play titles on Xbox Game Pass, MySims: Cozy Bundle is only available on the PC and Ultimate tier. Conversely, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 can also be played with an XGP Premium-tier subscription.

With an OpenCritic average of 81 and “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam, Space Marine 2 is among the most critically acclaimed adaptations of Games Workshop’s iconic franchise in recent memory. It adds to a substantial lineup of Warhammer 40,000 entries on Microsoft’s subscription service, including Darktide, Rogue Trader, and Vermintide 2. A remaster of the original Warhammer 40k: Space Marine has also been available on Xbox Game Pass since June 2025. This is the first time that Space Marine 2 is being offered to Microsoft subscribers at no extra cost.

Today’s other new addition, MySims: Cozy Bundle, also makes its Xbox Game Pass debut. The bundle includes two Wii-era titles—MySims and MySims Kingdom—packaged together. Although part of The Sims franchise, the MySims spin-off series shares more in common with Animal Crossing than with Maxis’s mainline life simulation games. That formula appears to have resonated with players, as reflected in the bundle’s “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam. MySims: Cozy Bundle is available to Xbox Game Pass users on PC only.

Xbox Game Pass already has five confirmed games for February 2026: Indika, Final Fantasy 2, Menace, High on Life 2, and Towerborne. Even more are expected to be announced early next month. Based on Microsoft’s usual cadence, the Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 lineup for next month is likely to be formally announced on February 3. In the meantime, the service is set to lose seven games on January 31, including Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Cataclismo, Starbound, and Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders—all games that boast an OpenCritic average score of at least 80. That’s on top of the five titles that left on January 16. Despite 12 departures, January has still been a significant net positive for the Xbox Game Pass library, with new arrivals outnumbering removals two to one.
