The Earwig Set is unlocked when the player analyzes Earwig parts (Head, Part, or Pincer) and is a Fighter Armor, so its ideal for tanks and frontliners.
It has the Hasty Response Set Perk, which has a chance to activate when players do a perfect block, greatly increasing melee charge attack speed. It pairs nicely with the new Katangas.

The Potato Beelte set is a great way to counter the effect of Tang Build Up, thanks to its Tangy Purification perk, which has a chance to reduce the corrosion effect each time players block.
It has decent protection and looks really cool, plus, it’s a Fighter set, which allows frontline players to draw more aggro to them while the rest of the team deals damage. The recipe for this armor can be discovered upon finding Potato Beetle Parts and analyzing them.

The Rusty Mage Armor set, so it reduces the stamina cost of Mage Staff attacks. It provides lots of extra resistance at the cost of lower defense ratio. Its recipe can be discovered by analyzing Rust Beetle parts or Sour Glob, and it’s a great combination for the new Tang Staffs, like the Acid Ruin or the Wither Sting.
It’s Set Bonuses are Tangy Eruption and Sourmancy. Tangy Eruption activates when players perform a perfect block, with a chance to release a blast of Tang Goo. Sourmancy increases Sour damage for a brief duration after Tangy Eruption activates, making this combination something really strong to have alongside a Mage Staff Build.

The Serpent Set is one of the coolest things added with Grounded 2: The Toxic Tangle Update, and it’s related to one of the biggest creatures in the game: The Garter Snake. Those brave enough to find it and mount on her back while this creature roams the upper section of the Garden Biome will soon find that they can get Scales from it by using the level 4 Pick from the Omnitool.
Upon scanning those Scales, they will discover the recipe for the set, which is a Mage Armor, and its perk called Finale Quickening enhances the speed of the last part of a combo attack made with the Staff, making it a really cool way to spam lots of blasts.

The Cricket Set is one of the best Marksman armors in the game, with access to decent defense and resistance, and with a killer look to boot. It can be unlocked by analyzing Cricket parts. The problem is that Crickets are some of the toughest enemies in the game, so be prepared for a hard fight.
This set has one of the best Perks in the game, which is Critical Recovery: Healing effects bestowed to allies have a chance to greatly increase your critical hit chance for a short duration until you score a critical hit. This perk pairs incredibly well with the new Bardic Inspiration Mutation, which causes attacks, dodges, and perfect blocks to buff allies.

The Black Ant set is a formidable piece of gear that can be obtained relatively early while exploring the new Garden Biome. Players will come in contact with the new Black Ants in the War-Thorn Anthill located in the upper right corner of the map (the place players have to traverse to access the new Garden Biome). Since Red Ants and Black Ants are in constant war in this location, it’s a dangerous place that can end with players being swarmed at the slightest mistake, so go in prepared.
The good thing about this Rogue Armor set is that it comes with a unique perk called Parry Criticals, which can trigger a buff that increases the critical chance of players’ attacks every time they land a perfect block (or parry).
