New Vegas Remaster Casually Confirmed By Insider

By newsgame

Fallout: New Vegas may be getting a remaster after all. Fallout fans have been asking for a current-gen version of the 2010 classic for a while, but it’s seemed increasingly unlikely as time has gone by with no word from Bethesda on the matter. Just when it seemed like all hope for a Fallout: New Vegas remaster was lost, one sentence stoked the flames back to life.

Anticipation peaked leading up to Bethesda’s 2025 Fallout Day celebration but quickly fizzled as the company revealed yet another version of Fallout 4 and announced no remasters or new games. Following the disappointing news, fans review bombed Fallout 4 on Steam and expressed frustration over the missed opportunity with respect to New Vegas. However, now it seems like there may be good news further down the line.

Jez Corden Says Remastered Fallout: New Vegas Is Still Happening

In response to a tweet about the rumored Fallout 3 remaster, Windows Central’s Jez Corden told fans not to worry because Fallout: New Vegas is also getting remastered. Corden offered no context and didn’t cite any sources, but as a prominent industry insider with a history of accurate claims, his confirmation, however brief, carries significant weight. Since dropping that bomb in the replies of a stranger’s post, Corden has yet to comment on the matter again, but the lone tweet is not the only potential evidence of an updated New Vegas fans have.

Months before Fallout Day 2025, VGC journalist Jordan Middler suggested there are multiple Fallout projects currently in development, including the “one that I’m sure you’re all wanting.” It’s difficult to imagine that Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is the one all fans want, and the idea that Fallout has at least two things in the oven lines up with what Corden has said. As a Fallout 3 remaster looks increasingly likely, it doesn’t negate the possibility of Fallout: New Vegas also getting the same treatment. Of course, all of these theories and claims are not official, so they may not prove true, but the overlap between them and the general trustworthiness of their sources make them worth noting.

Shooting enemies in Fallout New Vegas

There’s currently no indication of when either remake may release, but in light of the lack of much information, it seems like it could be a while. Bethesda missed the chance to make a splash on Fallout: New Vegas‘ 15th anniversary, but other Fallout Days in the years to come could work as a good time to make an announcement. Until developers peel back the curtain a little more, though, fans will have to deal with some uncertainty.
