All Main Story Missions in No Rest for the Wicked

By newsgame

The colorful and cartoon-y world of No Rest for the Wicked is set in a depressingly dark fantasy world full of unspeakable horrors, and players get front-row seats to everything that unfolds in the cursed isle of Sacra, from the bloodthirsty raiders to mutated men, women, and even animals. Behind the gorgeous environments of No Rest for the Wicked is a story that takes place across multiple biomes, and if you want to experience all that Sacra has to offer, you’ll want to take note of every single quest in the game. Here’s a brief checklist for you to follow during your adventures.

Where Should You Start?

Everyone will start the game with the Sacrament quest, which is obtained by speaking with the dying ship captain near starting area. This will lead you to the town of Sacrament, the main hub area of No Rest for the Wicked.

After finishing Sacra, things start to get a little confusing. Several explorable paths will open up, and a few of the side quests will become available as well. The next main quest, Servant of God, might be a little on the difficult side for underleveled players, so unless you want to brave a level 8-11 area as a budding level 6 Cerim, you’ll want to get other stuff done first.

Side Quests and XP Farming

Of Rats and Raiders becomes available at the same time as Servant of God, but this eventually leads to an even higher-level area. The first half of this will have you fighting against raiders in the Orban Glade, while the second half will send you down into the Black Trench, also known as the sewers below Sacrament.

The thing about Of Rats and Raiders is that Black Trench is a level 15 zone. You’ll likely have to pause the quest for a bit if you want to have an easier time there, so we recommend doing the following:

  1. Complete bounties for Captain Randolph in Sacrament
  2. Do the other side quests first
  3. Dive into the Crucible for loot

The guard captain of Sacrament has a number of Daily and Weekly Bounties for you to complete, and they each reward loot, XP, and money. They should be fairly easy to complete, but the weekly ones tend to be more challenging.

Other Side Quests

The rest of the side quests aren’t as long or as difficult as Of Rats and Raiders, so you might as well do them first to get more XP.

  1. The Innkeeper’s Husband will take you back to the Mariner’s Keep in search of Gordon, the town chef.
  2. The Potion Seller will have you cave diving for Iona Blooms. Completing this will unlock Markos, an alchemist who sells potions.
  3. Spilled Blood isn’t a quest per se — just think of it as a reminder to use Plague Ichors to expand your inventory.
  4. Spoken and Unspoken serves as an introduction to the Crucible activity.

The Crucible

The Crucible is a roguelite mode that serves as a place for getting loot and XP while also being a place to test your skills (and your build). When you reach the sixth floor, you’ll enter the Seneschal’s chamber, and here, you can find three chests full of loot. The Seneschal itself acts as a vendor once you unlock one of its upgrades, and it might sell you some stuff you won’t find anywhere else.

The Crucible is related to the Spoken and Unspoken quest, and it’s also where you can respec your character.
