PS Plus Monthly Games for February 2026 Wish List

By newsgame

It’s been a somewhat mixed start to the year for PlayStation Plus. January 2026’s PS Plus free games didn’t really reach the lofty heights of December 2025’s PS Plus line-up, with Need for Speed Unbound, Core Keeper, and Epic Mickey: Rebrushed paling in comparison to the likes of Neon White, LEGO Horizon Adventures, The Outlast Trials, and Killing Floor 3—at least to some. Thankfully, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium’s January 2026 line-up was a little better, though there’s still plenty of room for improvement this February.

A total of nine games are leaving PlayStation Plus in February 2026, including popular titles like Cult of the Lamb, The Ascent, and WWE 2K25. To make up for these losses and to get the year back on track, PlayStation Plus is going to need to swing for the fences next month, and it all starts with the PS Plus free monthly games.

PS Plus Free Games For February 2026 Wish List: Resident Evil 7

Read Game Rant’s Review of Resident Evil 7

On February 27, 2026, the world is being treated to a new Resident Evil mainline entry. Set 30 years after the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3, Resident Evil Requiem will take players back to Raccoon City, but this time they’ll be playing as both returning fan-favorite Leon Kennedy and new series protagonist Grace Ashcroft. As Leon, players will engage in action-heavy, zombie-slaying sequences, while as Grace, they’ll rely more on stealth due to their limited resources. Essentially, Resident Evil Requiem merges the survival-horror gameplay of Resident Evil 7 with the more action-oriented gameplay of Resident Evil 4.

It would be amazing to see PlayStation Plus properly prepare fans and newcomers alike for this upcoming Resident Evil experience by offering a past entry as part of PS Plus’ monthly free games. Though it’s the most recent mainline entry, Resident Evil Village was just added to PS Plus Extra this month, which means the most suitable game to appear in PS Plus Essential’s February 2026 line-up is Resident Evil 7. An entry that returns the series to its survival-horror roots, Resident Evil 7 was also directed by the same man helming Requiem, Koshi Nakanishi. Resident Evil 7 was available on PS Plus Extra back in February 2023, but it was removed a year later and hasn’t appeared again since. As such, it’d be a perfect addition to next month’s roster.

Back in June 2025, PlayStation announced it would stop offering PS4 titles as part of PS Plus’ monthly free games. But as evidenced by PS Plus’ January 2026 offerings, as long as PS4 titles have a PS5 version, they’re still fair game. With that in mind, Resident Evil 7 would still be a viable option for PS Plus, as it received a PS5 upgrade in 2022.

  • Enjoy the revitalization of classic Resident Evil survival horror gameplay.
  • Get up close and personal with a colorful cast of terrifying adversaries, including the menacing Jack Baker.
  • Experience the perfect jumping-on point for newcomers to the Resident Evil franchise, with no prior knowledge or experience needed to understand the story or gameplay.

PS Plus Free Games For February 2026 Wish List: Astro Bot

Read Game Rant’s Review of Astro Bot

The Game Awards 2024’s Game of the Year winner, Astro Bot is undeniably one of the best PlayStation 5 exclusives out there, with it celebrating PlayStation’s entire 30+ year history. As the titular robotic hero, players embark on a joyous 3D platforming adventure where they explore colorful worlds, engage with innovative gameplay mechanics, and rescue 300 bots, over half of which are dressed up as beloved PlayStation icons. While first-party PlayStation games don’t tend to be offered as part of PS Plus’ monthly free games, Astro Bot appearing in the February 2026 line-up would be a surefire way to bring fans back around after a somewhat disappointing start to the year.

  • Rescue over 150 bots that reference a plethora of PlayStation-related franchises, from Crash Bandicoot to Spider-Man to Devil May Cry.
  • Experience a handful of levels directly inspired by the gameplay of beloved PlayStation titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, Ape Escape, and God of War.
  • Enjoy a wealth of post-launch content that added 20 new bots, new levels, new speedrun challenges, and more to the already feature-complete experience.

PS Plus Free Games For February 2026 Wish List: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Read Game Rant’s Review of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is having a bit of a moment right now. After experiencing almost six years of console exclusivity, PlayStation finally let go of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and it’s found its way to Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, where it runs extremely well on both. But while PlayStation may have lost the Final Fantasy ace up its sleeve, it could easily conjure up another.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now via PlayStation Plus Extra, but its 2024 sequel is nowhere to be seen. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS Plus’ February free games list would have the power to single-handedly put PlayStation Plus back in the good books, likely keeping it there for a very long time.

  • Experience an alternate, modernized version of the classic 1997 JRPG that defined an era, complete with stellar performances and high-quality presentation.
  • Enjoy a thrilling combat system that merges fast-paced hack-and-slash action with methodical turn-based tactics
  • Explore a vast open world filled with expressive characters, engaging quests, lively locations, and breathtaking views

February 2026 Wish List For PS Plus Extra and Premium

  • Nioh 2: The third entry in Team Ninja’s surprisingly great Soulslike series is set to release on February 6. Before then, PlayStation Plus should add Nioh 2 to its Extra/Premium library, letting newcomers catch up on the series ahead of the new release.
  • The Witcher 3: It may have only left the service in August 2025, but many fans are already missing The Witcher 3 on PlayStation Plus. It’s been heavily rumored that The Witcher 3 will receive a new expansion in May 2026, so it’d be nice for PS Plus to allow fans to replay the modern RPG classic before its alleged release.
  • LEGO Marvel Superheroes: LEGO games are prevalent on PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium, but one of the few that isn’t currently available on the service is LEGO Marvel Superheroes. This is a real shame, as LEGO Marvel Superheroes is widely considered to be one of the best LEGO games ever made, with its open world being shockingly fun to explore, and its story being a true celebration of the legendary comic universe.
  • Resident Evil Code Veronica: According to leaker Dusk Golem, a Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake is set to be revealed by the end of 2026. PS Plus is in a prime position to make this potential announcement an even bigger deal than it already would be, as Code Veronica is a tricky game to get a hold of nowadays, especially if you’re trying to purchase a physical PS2 copy.
  • Star Wars Revenge of the Sith: PlayStation Plus has a surprising number of Star Wars games currently in its Extra and Premium libraries. But there’s always room for more. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith may not be the most acclaimed Star Wars game, but it’s an incredibly nostalgic title for many fans, and it’d be great to see on PS Plus.
  • Sea of Stars: While Sea of Stars actually came to PlayStation Plus upon its August 2023 launch, it left the service a year later and hasn’t returned since. That means there are plenty of PS Plus subscribers out there who wouldn’t have had the chance to play one of the most acclaimed RPGs in recent history.
