How To Enter The Metropolis In MIO Memories in Orbit
MIO: Memories in Orbit takes players to play as Mio, a little robot inside a vessel. It’s said that life once thrived in the spaceship, but now the ark is drifting aimlessly in space, as the heart no longer beats.
As soon as players explore the vessel, it’s obvious that the friendly faces are mostly inactive or beyond repair, so it’s a relief to meet a friendly figure in the Dwellings area. The robot mentioned a way to Metropolis where there are other survivors, but unfortunately, the door is locked from the other side. Here’s how to reach the Metropolis in MIO: Memories in Orbit.

How To Enter The Metropolis In MIO Memories in Orbit
To enter the Metropolis in MIO: Memories in Orbit, you must open the door from the other side. First, you need to get the Hairpin skill to hook onto green crystals in the vessel.
Then, go to The Spine level on the elevator, and go left. But, unlike how it is when you’re getting the Hairpin skill, do not go down and keep heading left until you meet Mel (or reach the room where you met her).
With the Hairpin, Mio can now go up. Keep ascending until you reach the Metropolis door from the other side. Open the door before proceeding.
Inside the next door is Acat, a boss that blocks Mio from entering Metropolis. Beat the enemy and keep going left.
You should see a Torn Overseer that Roots in the Dwellings. Mend the Overseer and watch it fly away. It’s not important for now, but this will be useful later.
Keep heading left and free fall down until there’s a way to the left again.
Finally, you will reach Metropolis Central Gate. There’s an overseer dock to the left, so you can update your map with your new discoveries.
If you’re confused about where to go next, you can return to Shii by walking right. There should be a way down, which opens a shortcut to the square room.
If you haven’t yet, you can also go up, then fall down to reach the spiky glacier. Pick up the item on the spike, then keep going right to open another shortcut. This time, it will lead to the room where you save Rad from the door.
