Where to Find Blood Rose in Hytale
Blood Rose is a crafting material required to make certain healing potions in Hytale. Finding Blood Roses can be quite tricky, however, as they only spawn in certain areas of the map and the game does not provide players with any hints about where they may be found.
This guide covers the details about the biomes where Blood Roses spawn in Hytale, how to harvest them properly, as well as how to get Blood Rose Seed Bags in order to start farming this material in your base.

How to Get Blood Rose in Hytale
Blood Rose Location
Blood Rose can be found in heavily forested areas of the Emerald Grove (Zone 1) Drifting Plains biome, and in the open plains of the Whisperfrost Frontiers (Zone 3) Frostmarch Tundra biome in Hytale. Between the two zones, Whisperfrost Frontiers is the better farming spot for Blood Roses (more details below).
Blood Roses emit a dull red glow at night that makes them easy to spot when the sun is down.
If you press the Interact key (F) on a Blood Rose, you get a complete Blood Rose. If you use Crude Shears on a Blood Rose instead, you’ll get Blood Petals. Both materials are required for crafting the lesser healing potion in Hytale.
Emerald Grove
In the Emerald Grove (Zone 1), Blood Roses can be found in heavily forested areas like the one shown in the screenshot above. However, due to the large number of trees that block visibility, it is very easy to miss Blood Rose spawns, even at night.
An indicator that a Blood Rose might be nearby is berry bushes, as these plants often grow near these bushes. In the Emerald Grove, look for Blood Roses near Wild berry bushes.
Whisperfrost Frontiers
The Frostmarch Tundra biome is found on the border of the Emerald Grove (Zone 1) and the Whisperfrost Frontiers (Zone 3). Frostmarch Tundra appears as a dull yellow colored area on the map that divides the green forests and the snowy plains (shown above).
To find Blood Roses in the Frostmarch Tundra, wait for night and find an elevated spot. Then, look over the plain, and you should see the telltale red glow of the Blood Rose easily.
Unlike the Emerald Grove, there are virtually no trees in this biome; it’s nearly a flat plane where visibility is very high. As a result, spotting Blood Rose at night is very easy because as long as you have a high enough vantage point, you’ll be able to spot all Blood Roses within your line of sight with a single glance.

How to Unlock Blood Rose Seed Bag Recipe in Hytale
How to Get Blood Rose Seeds
In order to obtain a large number of healing potions in Hytale, you’ll need large quantities of Blood Rose for the recipes. While it is certainly possible to find Blood Roses in the wild, it is very inefficient because their spawn locations are few and far between. The best method of farming Blood Rose is to unlock the Blood Rose Seed Bag recipe and use it to start a Blood Rose farm at your base. To do so, you’ll need two things:
The Blood Rose Seed Bag Recipe can be found by cutting down wild Blood Roses with Crude Shears (craftable at a Farmer’s Workbench) in Hytale. Every time you use Crude Shears on a Blood Rose, there is a very small chance you’ll obtain a Blood Rose Seed Bag Recipe in addition to a Blood Petal.
Once the Blood Rose Seed Bag recipe drops, equip it in your hotbar and press right-click to learn it. Then, you’ll be able to make Blood Rose Seeds.

Red Crystal Shard Location
Red Crystal Shards can be found in large quantities on the surface layer of the Devastated Lands (Zone 4), the area with the blackened ground, lava spouts, and dead trees. On the map, these areas are large black islands, typically in the form of islands separated from the rest of the landmass.
