All Events & Minigames Locations in Heartopia
Heartopia is a cozy game that’s built around connection. There’s no better way to unite the world than Events. Events are more like short minigames that reward you with rare materials, gacha pods, hobby progress, and a decent amount of coins. Interestingly, Heartopia’s Events are tied to your Developer’s Guild level and, in some cases, to your unlocked hobbies. Read on to learn how Events in Heartopia work and how you can unlock them.
Heartopia: Cooking Hobby Guide
Cooking in Heartopia is more than just making meals. When done right, it can perfectly synergize with your other hobbies.
How to Unlock All Heartopia Events
Initially, all Events in Heartopia are locked. You cannot participate in any Event until you reach Developer’s Guild Level 7. At this point, the game introduces you to the idea of town-wide minigames and gives you access to your first three Events.
At Level 7, you unlock Sea Fishing, the Bubble Machine Challenge, and the Yellow Duck Jump Puzzle. These three Events are available to every player who reaches this level, regardless of hobbies.
When you reach Level 8, two more Events become available, but only if you also have the required hobbies unlocked. At Level 8, you unlock Bait the Insects and Nest of Hundreds. These events are directly tied to the Insect Catching and Bird Watching hobbies.
Most Events are started by players. The first time you initiate an Event each week, it costs 2,000 gold. Every additional time you start that same Event within the same week, the price will increase to 3,000 gold. The price goes up with each additional attempt.
As such, it’s often smarter to join Events started by others rather than always hosting your own. Besides this, once a day, an NPC will host a free town Event during a specific 30-minute window. These are called Town Events.
When an NPC starts an Event, anyone who has unlocked it can join without paying. These free runs are the best way to farm fish, insects, and earn rewards without spending your own gold in Heartopia, so checking the map each day is worth making part of your routine.
You can view upcoming free Event times by tapping an Event icon on the map. Tiny text at the bottom of the pop-up shows when that Event will next be hosted by an NPC.

Sea Fishing is one of the first Events you unlock at Developer’s Guild Level 7. You start this Event at the Fishing Village by speaking to Bill near the boats. Once the Event begins, players are split between two boats, so boarding the correct one is important. When the timer ends, the ship sails into deep waters filled with exclusive fish.
You have a limited time to catch as many fish as possible. Your personal goal is to catch five fish, while the group goal usually requires thirty total catches. Completing goals rewards Surprise Gacha Pods. Free Sea Fishing Town Events are hosted by Bill on specific days, usually in short ten-minute windows.

Like Sea Fishing, the Bubble Machine Challenge becomes available at Developer’s Guild Level 7 too. You start it by speaking to the Beach Surfer near the large inflatable arena.
You and the other players jump around inside a large inflatable structure filled with floating bubbles. Your goal is to pop as many as possible before time runs out. Green and orange bubbles are safe targets, but over time they also start flashing red. Red bubbles are about to disappear, so they should be popped immediately.
This Event is not tied to any hobby, so everyone at Level 7 or higher can fully participate.

The pink route is more difficult, while the green route is easier and better for beginners. In the center of the course are four buttons. Standing on one creates platforms elsewhere, helping other players move ahead. When you step off, those platforms disappear.
Your personal goal is to complete two routes, while the group goal requires eight total completions. Falling is not the end, as you can try again within the time limit.

You are given three minutes to catch as many insects as possible in the first area. It’s a good idea to prepare beforehand and eat the right foods to boost stamina. When the first timer ends, you have one minute to travel to Crater Lake for the second phase, where another three minutes begin. Naniwa hosts free Town Events for this activity on select mornings or evenings.

Nest of Hundreds is unlocked at Developer’s Guild Level 8 and requires the Bird Watching hobby. It takes place in the Eastern Fishing Village at the bird-calling device near the fountain. During the Event, rare birds appear throughout the area, and you have to use binoculars to locate and photograph them before they fly away.
Your progress is measured in star points rather than simple counts. Your personal goal is to collect Info Cards totaling 30 stars, while the group goal requires 150 stars combined. Thankfully, you can photograph the same bird multiple times.
Idle birds are easy to capture, but birds that chirp or perform unique actions award more stars.

Not all Events take place in town. Tea Parties are hosted directly from your home. You can invite friends or neighbors to visit your house. These are relaxed social gatherings where players can chat, use party poppers, solve puzzles, place food, and even let pets interact. While there are no competitive goals, Tea Parties still count as Events in Heartopia.
