One of the most relaxing hobbies you can unlock is Birdwatching. This hobby encourages you to slow down, explore the wild, and find different birds on the island. Among these feathered friends is the adorable Wonga Pigeon. The Wonga Pigeon is a bird that many players find early in their Birdwatching journey.

Cooking in Heartopia is more than just making meals. When done right, it can perfectly synergize with your other hobbies.
Where to Find Wonga Pigeon in Heartopia
The Wonga Pigeon is one of the more easy-to-find birds. You can find this bird in the Forest area of the island. Unlike rarer species that appear only during specific hours or events, the Wonga Pigeon is available all day. This means you have plenty of chances to spot it.
Here are its exact conditions:
- Location: Forest
- Time of Day: All Day
- Weather: Sunny, Rainy, Rainbow
- Level Required: Birdwatching Level 2
This means once you reach Level 2 in Birdwatching, you can start hunting for the Wonga Pigeon at any time. Head into the forest, equip your scanner or camera, and keep your distance. Move slowly and wait for the bird to settle or chirp before snapping a photo.
Try to capture the pigeon during a pose rather than when it’s idle. This can boost your star rating and help you build higher-quality Info Cards for better rewards.
How to Unlock & Upgrade Birdwatching in Heartopia
Birdwatching becomes available as part of the Developer Level 6 progression. After playing for a few hours and completing early-game tasks, you’ll reach this milestone and unlock this special hobby quest.
Once you hit Developer Level 6:
- Visit Bailey J., who is located upstairs inside the pet store in the town center.
- Bailey J. will explain how Birdwatching works and give you your first scanner.
- You’ll be asked to speak with the other Hobby Mentors.
- After meeting all three, return to Bailey J. with your Hobby Expansion Ticket.
- Choose Birdwatching as your next hobby to permanently unlock it.
If you select a different hobby instead, you’ll need to wait until you earn another Expansion Ticket. This is why it’s recommended to choose Birdwatching early.
To level up Birdwatching faster:
- Photograph new birds as soon as you find them.
- Wait for birds to chirp or pose for better star ratings.
- Avoid getting too close so that the birds don’t fly away.
- Turn in Info Cards to Bailey J. for rewards.
