The Syringe Analyzer is simple. You hold it down on a survivor with (LMB/RT/R2), and within a second, the mini-screen will display as green or red.
If it comes up as green, the survivor is not infected and can be sent to the Survivor’s Block. This is the case even if they have some orange symptoms, as you now know, they are just sick. They will recover from whatever symptoms they have.
If it is orange/red, they are infected and should be sent to Liquidation or shot on the spot. The Syringe Analyzer has 100% accuracy.
The downside is that Syringes can only be used once to prevent cross-contamination. When holding this tool, players should see a number indicating how many Syringes are left.

If a survivor has no symptoms at all, or only some green symptoms indicating sickness, then it’s unlikely they are infected, and it’s best not to waste a Syringe Analyzer.
Using The Syringe Analyzer On Those With Orange Symptoms, But No Red Symptoms
The times to actually use the Syringe Analyzer, therefore, are when individuals have plenty of orange symptoms, which could be either sickness or infection. If it’s an overwhelming amount, they are likely infected and should be disposed of, but a normal amount is when you should check with the Syringe Analyzer.
This is particularly true if your Quarantine is full of mostly healthy people who are less likely to be infected, as you don’t want to send a potential zombie in there.
In fact, send people you are unsure about to Quarantine at first, and then at the end of the day, use the Syringe Analyzer on those in Quarantine whom you suspect are most likely to be infected.

At the evacuation, you will want to send more survivors to the science team, rewarding Research Points and Syringe Analzers, rather than the cash rewards for sending survivors to the military.
