All Keys Locations in Ashes of the Damned

Once players have solved the Serum puzzle in Ashes of the Damned, they will need to locate 3 keys found within the interconnecting roads out of Ashwood. This is a dangerous step for all players involved, as the roads are filled with never-ending spawns of the undead, and spotting the keys without knowing where to look is going to cause many Black Ops 7 Zombies players to have to fail the quest in death. Thankfully, we’ve compiled all locations where the keys can spawn in Ashes of the Damned and what each key does so that you can deliver them to the locked chest in Ashwood’s Rabbit Alley. Finding and delivering each of these keys is essential to finishing your last upgrade for Ol’ Tessie and for progressing the Ashes of the Damned main easter egg quest.

In order to collect each key, you will need the Necrofluid Gauntlet. When you see the colored glint indicating where the key is, you must shoot it with the Necrofluid Gauntlet and then reload to pull it towards you, where it will then be on the ground waiting for you to collect it. Each key provides a special effect when picked up, and that effect persists until it’s been delivered to the locked chest in Rabbit Alley at Ashwood.

All Bruin Key (Yellow Key) Locations in Ashes of the Damned

The Bruin key has 3 distinct spawns, and can be found in the Crashed Rocket road, which is the area that leads between Ashwood and Zarya Cosmodrome. When picked up, the Bruin Key will force you to use your melee weapon and nothing else, so get back into Ol’ Tessie and return to the locked chest, as you will be forced to stab zombies that approach you instead of shooting them. Here are all the spawns for the yellow key:

Found on the cliff just as you leave the gate from Ashwood to the Crashed Rocket road.
Collected from the crashed pylon in the middle of the Crashed Rocket road.
Located at the top middle part of the array tower at Zarya Cosmodrome, when facing southwest from the Crashed Rocket road.

All Nightbird Key (Red Key) Locations in Ashes of the Damned

The Nightbird Key has 3 spawns that can be found all between Ashwood and Exit 115 via the Orda Graveyard road. The Nightbird Key is very hard to find, as its distinctive red glow blends with the fire in this area. When found, picking up the Nightbird Key will result in you losing a chunk of your health, and it will not regenerate. Therefore, it’s advised to get straight back into Ol’ Tessie to drive to the locked box in Ashwood so you can get your health back. Here are all the spawns for the red key:

Found at the back of the T.Rex skull that can be found on the floor when leaving Ashwood, when looking south.
Found within the left side of the T.Rex skull’s jaw, which is on the northwest cliff in the Orda Graveyard.
Found at the back of the project Janus trucks, northeast when leaving from Exit 115.

All Terrapin Key (Green Key) Locations in Ashes of the Damned

The Terrapin Key can be found in 3 areas in the Grounded Ship, which is the road between Ashwood and Vandorn Farm. Each of these key spawns is on or beneath the ship itself, and picking up the key will disable your sprint, so you will want to make sure you get straight back into Ol’ Tessie as soon as you pick it up, as the undead hordes will outrun you and kill you. Here are all the spawns for the green key:

Underneath the ship, when facing east, sitting on two barrels.
Found on the surface of the ship, on a shelf within an open window that can be found when facing southeast.
Also on top of the ship, found within the slightly open door of a blue shipping container found when facing northwest.

There are only 3 locations for each key, so if you still cannot find it, then try getting closer to the spawn area to see if it just hasn’t loaded in yet.
