Omens of Light are one of the possible items players can get from fighting Abyss monsters in Path of Exile 2. Like other some Omens, these are used to change the outcome of crafting attempts on gear, but what makes these ones special is the fact that they let players pick and choose which modifiers they want to remove from an item. Being able to deterministically affect the outcome of crafting is extremely valuable, and if you want to get one of these for yourself in PoE 2, here’s something you can try.
Path of Exile 2: Ulaman, Amanamu, Kurgal Modifiers Explained
Some Omens in Path of Exile 2 guarantee Ulaman, Amanamu, and Kurgal modifiers on Desecration attempts. Here is what they mean.
How to Farm Omens of Light in Path of Exile 2
Omens of Light can drop from the end chest found in Abyssal Depths maps, which you can occasionally find by finishing Abyss encounters while completing endgame maps. You can force Abyss encounters to spawn in your maps by using Abyss Tablets right before opening a Waystone.
When you’re clearing a map with Abysses on it, you may also encounter Rare Abyss monsters with the Amanamu’s Void Lichborn modifier. These enemies have a higher chance of dropping rare Abyss omens, but only if you kill them while they’re outside of their fog clouds. When you spot one, try to lure it away from its fog before taking it out, and it should drop a rare omen for you.
Take note that this method can yield any rare Abyss omen, and you might not get an Omen of Light right away.
Rare monsters guarding the main Abyssal Depths treasure chest usually have a Lichborn modifier.
Farming Tips
- Use Waystones that give Rare monsters an additional modifier to increase the odds of finding an Amanamu’s Void monster.
- Use Abyss Tablets that increase the difficulty and rewards for Abyss monsters for every closed Pit.
- Get the Unholy Influence skill in your Atlas skill tree to increase the odds of finding a Lichborn monster.
What are Omens of Light For?
When active in your inventory, Omens of Light will make it so that your next use of an Orb of Annulment will only remove Desecrated modifiers. This is an extremely valuable effect for lategame gear crafting since it gets rid of the riskiest element of the process. Having an Omen of Light will prevent your items from losing their other important modifiers while letting you use Desecrated currencies again, giving you a better shot at getting the perfect mods for your gear.
Crafting becomes even easier if you have an Omen of Abyssal Echoes. This will let you re-roll Desecrated modifiers once after you’ve revealed them.
