As a base-building, survival game, you’ll spend a lot of time gathering resources and other items to expand your base and keep yourself alive in StarRupture. While it can be fairly easy to manage your inventory when you first start out, it can become increasingly difficult as the game demands you deal with more refined materials and just more… stuff in general. Fortunately, there is a way to increase inventory space in StarRupture, so you can carry more stuff as you go. In this guide, I’ll walk you through how to do that, as well as how to get more storage space to keep those less important items safely tucked away.

How to Increase Inventory Size in StarRupture

You’re Going to Need It

To increase inventory size in StarRupture, you’ll need to reach specific levels with different corporations in StarRupture by completing their tasks. For example, in the screenshot above, you’ll need to reach level 3 with the Selenian Corporation to unlock an inventory upgrade that grants you 8 additional slots to store items and materials.

It’s worth noting that there are only four inventory upgrades that players can unlock in StarRupture’s current early access state. Each of these is unlocked by reaching a specific level with a corporation. I’ve listed the level you’ll need to reach with each corporation to unlock their inventory upgrade below.

Selenian Corporation – Level 3
Future Health Solutions – Level 7
Graffits Blue Corporation – Level 8
Moon Energy Corporation – Level 11

Once you’ve completed the task corresponding to that corporation level, you’ll need to accept your rewards from the Corporate Terminal inside your habitat. The inventory upgrade will then automatically be applied, so you don’t need to worry about crafting it or equipping it from any in-game menu.

How to Get More Storage Space in StarRupture

While some items are useful to have on you at any time, such as food or hydration supplies, others don’t need to be carried around if you’re exploring Arcadia-7 beyond the confines of your base. However, you might not want to get rid of all those basic building materials as they’ll come in handy for further base expansion further down the line.

To increase storage space, focus on improving your relationship with Clever Robotics Corporation. The level 2 reward is a Personal Storage container that can be used to store items. It has 18 slots and can be repeatedly placed in a habitat to give you extensive storage. Clever Robotics also has many other storage-focused rewards at higher levels. As such, it’s well worth spending time improving your standing with them alongside the other corporations.
