For players who want to progress through the Operation Paper Trail missions, the entry begins with the ULP – Intelligence mission, and it might stump players new and old alike due to the fact that you need to find 4 pieces of FIB Hardware within a search area.

How to Increase All Stats in GTA Online (& What They Do)
Stats are essential in GTA Online, and beginners and veterans alike will need to max them out as fast as possible. Here’s how.
All Hardware Locations in the FIB HQ in GTA Online
There are 2 pieces of FIB Hardware to collect within the FIB HQ, but there are a few potential spawn points that you’ll want to check for. All of which are found within the central room after accessing the elevator. To make the trip easier and avoid alerting the police, we recommend heading to the construction site in Alta to grab a maintenance uniform. Here’s where to find all hardware locations at the FIB HQ:
- FIB Hardware Location #1: Take a left from the elevator and enter the furthest office, where, behind the desk, is an empty box that may contain a tablet.
- FIB Hardware Location #2: Take a right from the elevator and enter into an open office plan with a bunch of FIB agents. Enter the conference room near the server room, and the hardware can be found in an open briefcase at the end of the table.
- FIB Hardware Location #3: Enter the server room, which is at the very back right room from the elevator. At teh back of this room is a small desk, with the potential hardware spawn being found on top of the desk.
- FIB Hardware Location #4: Take a left from the elevator and enter the first available office, past the waiting room, where it may be found in a white box on the floor.
All Hardware Locations in the FIB Depot in GTA Online
Once you arrive at the FIB Depot, you’re going to want to ensure that no alarms trigger to cause more police to be waiting for you outside. To do so, you’ll want to circle the FIB Depot and look for fuse boxes, which are marked with a red arrow when you’re close. There are two of them in total, and their spawns can be found on the walls and even on the roof. After, you can access the FIB Depot without being detected, and locate the 2 FIB Hardware within:
- FIB Hardware Location #1: Head to the back left of the FIB Depot, and look forward by a van to find three metal shelves. The hardware should be on the middle shelf.
- FIB Hardware Location #2: Opposite the first hardware is a desk with 3 monitors. The hardware should be sat on the right of the desk.
- FIB Hardware Location #3: Close to the FIB Depot exit, and to the left is a desk with 3 monitors. The hardware can be found hidden underneath the desk.
Once you have acquired all 4 FIB Hardware pieces, you can lose the cops and follow your objective to the end zone to earn your rewards!
